Lets look at stopping verbal support, and start to describe the act of it, and what that looks like. As a community and society at large, we may find we ourselves hearing or saying this word a lot. If we stop, and think for a moment, with all well intentions, how well is your intention landing? Going beyond the words "Here to support" "Signpost", let's dig a little deeper to describe as confidently what that actually looks like as apposed to giving the person in need more to do? Have you offered someone support lately? How meaningful was it? Can anyone see this?!?! This post about our service dog not only was taken down by big tech for a "community standards violation" with no explanation... but also resulted in some of the NASTIEST messages I've ever received. I was told that having a service dog (Whiskey is a critical incident response dog who helps take care of officers across America) was "privilege", "sexist", "part of the patriarchy" and that she should be "hit by a bus". What is WRONG with people? Please let me know WHERE you're seeing this from and see if you can REPOST it?!?! Guys - it gets worse - in the past couple of weeks, I've had a series of posts here on LinkedIn COMPLETELY and totally shadow banned - with almost ZERO impressions. LinkedIn's response? That I need to learn about the kind of content my followers want to see. Well THAT is interesting. I average around 10 MILLION impressions a week. Do they really think people are going to fall for that?? Apparently having conservative values and announcing that God is the CEO of your company will now get you SILENCED.
