GraVoc is currently attending the Massachusetts Staffing Association 2024 Annual Conference, taking place today at the Waltham Woods Conference Center! Our Director of Software Solutions, David Laster, will be presenting a session on 'Lessons From the #ERPUpgrade Battlefield’. I found the theme for my 42nd year on the last night of my 41st. 🎯 You only really mess things up when you're too afraid to mess things up. It jives well with the week we just spent at The Gathering Summit! Lots of firsts for me: 👉 First time in 8 years we've been away from the kids for more than an evening (just writing that, it looks bonkers) 👏 Spoke in front of my biggest crowd yet (such a fun group of humans - thanks everyone!) 🏃♂️ Worked a show booth (boy that requires a big tank of gas - shout out to the folks that do show booths often!) The idea also jives well with so much of what I've witnessed at this and other conferences this year. Melissa Rosenthal drove home the point that by staying too far in-bounds and playing to close to "the rules", so many B2B companies (well, companies in general) just unceremoniously die by their own mediocrity. Let's be bold! Or at least, let's be our wonderful goofy human selves and give the world the best of ourselves! At least if it all implodes, we did it our way 😆 Another great piece of wisdom from this guy: - Chances that a risk you take ends up in total failure? I dunno, maybe 1-in-10? - The chance that you regret not taking that risk? 1-in-1. Everytime. No contest. Let's get after it! How can I extra-leverage being on a conference panel or speaking? That is the most common initial question I answer in my advisory sessions and am just out of another one. You've got the stage, the actual physical platform, for an hour. Is that it? No. There's so much more you can do beforehand to reach prospective audience members. And, there's so much more you can do post-panel to be of even more value to the folks who really resonated with what you had to say. It is big-time conference season. I am here to help a lot in one session.

What have you said no to this week? We naturally want to say yes to everything and everyone. However, we know it's essential to learn to say no to some things so we can say "Yes" to the right things. Gino Wickman, the creator of the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) which we use here at @Primecare Home Care Services, emphasizes the importance of setting boundaries. He highlights that successful people are those who know how to say no. By defining your limits and sticking to them, you prevent burnout and maintain focus on your priorities. Wickman suggests practicing saying no to become comfortable with it, ensuring we dedicate our time and energy to what truly matters. I am grateful for the structure of EOS and the supportive culture we foster at Primecare Home Care Services and for our fearless leader Faris Flournoy who understands healthy things grow. Remember, setting boundaries isn't about being unhelpful; it's about focusing our energy on what truly matters and ensuring we can provide the best care and support possible.
