Imitate the practice. 🌱 In hospice care, we can learn a lot from Brené's approach. Creating a safe space for end-of-life discussions involves trust, openness, and a judgment-free zone. 🤗 1. Start with empathy – understand the unique journey of each patient and family. 2. Cultivate openness – encourage sharing feelings without fear of judgment. 3. Foster a supportive environment – ensure everyone feels heard and respected. The results will follow. 🌟 Join our community to normalize the conversation about end-of-life care. 💬 #EndOfLifeCare #HospiceSupport #CompassionateConversations #normalizingtheconversation

When you hear the word “hospice”, what do you think of? Serious question here, comment with your answer. I can think of so many positive words, but I still hear people associate negative words when discussing hospice care. This causes a delay in end of life planning and care. How do we “flip the script” and the mindset surrounding the word “hospice”? My wish this holiday season is that we start discussing quality of care with our families and patients. This conversation would include conversations about advanced care planning and end of life wishes. #hospice #endoflifecare #quality
