The holders of “Dubai Airport Frequent Passenger Card” will get various types of rewards on the card such as discounts regime on Dubai Duty Free Shop, access to luxury lounges, discounts on fares of Dubai based airlines, etc. The rewards on “Dubai Airport Frequent Passenger Card” will benefit Dubai Airport in many ways for example discounts regime on Dubai Duty Free Shop will increase sales at Dubai Duty Free Zone, discounts on fares of Dubai based airlines will attract more passengers to Dubai’s airlines. Managing the Rise in Tourism: How Logistics and Supply Chain Are Key The UAE and Saudi Arabia are seeing a big boost in tourism, and the logistics and supply chain sectors are crucial for handling this growth effectively. This increase in visitors is great news for the economy but also brings challenges and opportunities for our industry. In the first half of 2024, Dubai welcomed 9.31 million visitors—up 9% from last year. This growth means more goods and services need to be managed smoothly. Hotel occupancy also rose by 10%, and tourism is expected to contribute 12% to the UAE’s GDP. This shows that logistics must keep pace with this booming sector. Saudi Arabia is also experiencing a tourism surge, with 60 million visitors spending nearly $40 billion, a 22.9% increase from last year. This growth highlights the need for strong logistics and supply chain solutions to handle the higher demand and keep customers happy. To succeed, supply chain professionals need to innovate and adapt. This means improving logistics processes, optimizing transport routes, and managing inventory more effectively. Using technology like IoT and blockchain will help track shipments and ensure everything runs smoothly. Working closely with hotels, airlines, and tourist spots is also important for seamless operations. By meeting these challenges, we can support tourism growth and create great experiences for visitors while boosting the economy. https://lnkd.in/drc3f_2k #Logistics #SupplyChainManagement #TourismGrowth #Innovation #Collaboration

During a panel at the Future Hospitality Summit held in Riyadh, Gloria Manzo, chief special adviser at the Ministry of Tourism, likened Saudi Arabia’s approach toward the development of the sector to the private sector with clear goals with key performance indicators reviewed quarterly. She added: “We have goals, we have quarterly meetings that review our KPIs quarterly. You better be on the plan and if not, you have to explain why, so most likely it will achieve those numbers, before 2030. Absolutely!.” #saudiarabia #tourism #vision2030
