Applications are now open for The Maker City's Holiday Marketplace! What started during the pandemic as a way to help Makers make a sale during the Holiday season, has continued as our annual tradition as the ultimate virtual maker marketplace! Here's the deal: This is FREE to be included. (Makers win.) We will post FIVE items or services from local makers on our Instagram every Monday at 8am starting on November 11 and running through December 23. From 8am - 8pm, Knoxville folks and beyond can keep bidding and at 8pm the highest bid wins! That's when you take over and complete the sale. Get creative! You can even submit a bundle of items (think gift basket). If you offer a service (like a photo session of something custom), you can submit that as well. We will accept more than one entry, but cannot guarantee we will be able to include each one. We do love options... https://lnkd.in/gARBFTNz Please share this post with your maker friends to help get the word out! Graphic designed by: Log, Art Director at Museum of Infinite Outcomes

Have you ever thought about giving your fans more than just merch? Imagine this… Every month, your fans eagerly await the next design contest. They submit their artwork—each piece bursting with creativity and passion for your brand, your game, your story. It’s more than just art. It’s their way of saying, “I’m part of this.” The submissions roll in, and it’s your turn to review. Some are wild, others are heartfelt, and a few are absolutely perfect. You and your team choose the ones that capture the essence of your community. Then comes the moment everyone’s been waiting for… The winning designs are announced, and they’re not just art anymore. They’re official, limited-edition merch. But here’s the kicker… These designs aren’t just limited edition—they’re exclusive, available only for a short window. Fans rush to grab a piece of the moment. The artist earns a share of the revenue, turning their creativity into profit. Here’s why this matters: 1. Community Connection - Fans don’t just buy merch. They create it. They feel like they’re part of something bigger. 2. No External Designers Needed - Your fans provide the creativity. You just choose what works best. 3. Engagement Drives Revenue - The buzz from these contests builds hype and increases sales. 4. Scarcity Creates Urgency - Limited-time drops mean fans act fast, driving both sales and excitement. Now, think about it… What if every piece of your merch had a story behind it? A story written by your fans, for your fans. But before you can make this a reality, here’s what you need to consider: FanArt Licensing - You need a system to manage submissions, approvals, and revenue sharing. Brand Alignment - Ensuring designs match your brand is key. Production & Fulfilment - Managing on-demand production and getting those exclusive drops to your fans on time. That’s where MOD comes in. Our FanArt Licensing system makes all of this possible—from submissions to sales—so you can focus on what matters: your fans. Curious about how this could work for your brand? Let’s chat about how fan-driven merch could transform your business. #API #CustomIntegrations #TechSolutions #OnDemandMerchandise #EcommerceInnovation #Customization #MODinc #Fanart #CreatorEconomy #Licensing #FanExperience

Ever moved to a new town and struggled to find a good barber? I’ve got something cooking for that! ✂️💈 __________________________________________________________________________________ In continuation of my Barbshop project, I’ve added a new screen where users can explore available barbershops nearby. This explore screen also highlights bite-sized info on some top-notch salons to help users make faster, informed choices. 💇♂️ __________________________________________________________________________________ 👉 What’s New: 🎈 Explore Nearby Shops: Discover barbers close to you with ease. 🎈 Top-Rated Salons: Quick overviews of the best-rated shops to make the decision process smoother. __________________________________________________________________________________ I even experimented with a bit of animation—it's not perfect, but I’d rate it a solid 6/10 for now. Learning as I go! 😎 What do you think—should animations be part of every app? Let me know your thoughts or share some tips! #Day29 #UXDesign #AppDesign #Barbershop #tolconsistencychallenge #techiesonlinkedin

Did you know only 14% of artists have gallery representation? The other 86% are essentially running small businesses - managing their own sales, marketing, fulfillment, and customer service - all on their own. At Cohart, we're building the all-in-one platform visual artists deserve. October was huge for our artist community! We launched three game-changing features: 🔓 Exclusive Access - Give your top followers early access to new work, building anticipation and driving sales before public release 📍 Local Pickup/Drop-off - Streamline in-person sales with just a 5% processing fee, including digital certificates of authenticity 🏆 Digital Certificates - Enable collectors to showcase their purchases in mobile wallets and earn rewards through referrals And we're just getting started! Coming soon: invoicing, commission features, portfolio organization tools, email collection, newsletter templates, and simplified artist-collector connections. We're building the future of independent art commerce, one feature at a time. 🎨 shyevin s'ng Sam Tran Lauren Kulwicki Malcolm Xavier Susan Washington

Just spotted this pricing at an Eventbrite workshop. Let's focus on the 'Need a Break' option. What a great updated version of Purchasing Power Parity! The main critique of Purchasing Power Parity is that it focuses on regional income differences and doesn't accurately reflect the different living conditions of people within the same country. In other words, it doesn’t consider income differences within the same location. However, this approach is so well executed here, as it acknowledges that people can struggle financially even in a wealthy country, which is smartly taken into account here. #fairdesign #PurchasingPowerParity #ProductDesign #UXdesign
