Part way through a podcast today one of the guests mentioned a leadership formula, something along the lines of: Leadership Impact = (objectives + strategy + team + values + motivation) x (action) And it got me thinking, as leaders we can offten focus on the left hand brackets, our team, values, strategy and objectives all seem the most important things to us. These factors are all then multiplied by action. 100% x 0 is still 0, without action we have no impact. It’s imperative to focus on the action, as a leader at any level it’s about facilitation of action, without action there is no impact and without impact there is no leadership.
