WINNING I As a values-led agency, each month, our team nominates their colleagues for demonstrating one of our values: Integrity, People First, All In, Curiosity, Courage. The person with the most nominations each year is awarded the Karen Brennan Culture Award at our Christmas party, in honour of Kaz, a founding member of the agency whose energy and quirky nicknames galvanised the family culture for which we've become renowned. We are thrilled to announce that our Performance Director, Annie Marendaz, is our 2024 Karen Brennan Culture Award winner! Annie is a great connector within the agency, ensuring everyone feels warmly welcomed and accepted. It’s the end of the month, and I’m making a difficult decision. Who should I give the Employee of the Month award to this time? After careful consideration, it will have to be me. I feel I’ve made a significant contribution to the business and have demonstrated my commitment to company values. I believe everyone should celebrate their successes, but if you’re a company of one, it’s even more important to be able to pat yourself on the back. Read my article about making yourself Employee of the Month, spotting invisible rules, and developing company culture when you work alone. https://lnkd.in/eKbiPhzA Wherever you work, who are you making Employee of the Month for September? #employeerecognition #teamappreciation #celebratewins #companyculture #kingofpinpoint #richersolutions

There is SO So much I LOVE about this! A few Authentic leaders/colleagues I definitely can nominate…how about you? It’s a lesson we try and instill in our kids. A vision most parents likely have. Love the shift into the vision “to be” in business too! Have you ever sensed someone wasn't being authentic? The same rings true in leading our teams. The key to having a team that has your back is to keep it real, every step of the way. I firmly believe that my team stands by me because I lead with authenticity. What they see is what they get! I'm not afraid to show vulnerability, admit when I don't have all the answers, or own up to my mistakes. Leading with authenticity means being transparent about what's happening or not. When you lead authentically, your team knows they can trust you = Strong/Trusting relationships. I can not wait to read about some of the nominated winners b Authentic inc hopefully posts to hopefully inspire others! 💫 #BeAuthentic #BeYou
We have a BIG vision, but each year we're simply taking baby steps to get there. 👓 One day, all companies will have an Authenticity Index, so you know how authentic the culture is when you're deciding to work for, or do business with, them. 👓 To kick this vision off, we established National Authenticity Day in 2021. To honor this day, we also started the annual Authenticity Awards, where we encourage people to stop their meetings and email for a hot second and give back to the authentic people and companies who inspire them. This year I'm excited to announce our next baby step -- actual award judges (yes, it might have simply been me and my team doing this before 😊) And, it only took me a hot second to put together a dream team wish list with some of the most authentic leaders I know. I'm excited to announce our inaugural Authenticity Awards judges: ⭐ Britton Bloch (she/her), VP of Talent Acquisition & Recruiting at Navy Federal Credit Union ⭐ Bruce Wallace (he/him), Chief People Officer at Newman's Own, Inc. ⭐ Maritza Gé, PM., MEP., Sr. Executive Assistant to the CEO at ATS Corporation ⭐ Julie Ann Alvarado-Dubek, Chief HR Officer at Banner Health I encourage you to follow and be inspired by them. I also highly encourage you to take 5 min out of your day (schedule it!) and nominate someone for an award. Nominations will be open until July 26th and can be done here --> https://lnkd.in/e5zV42mM #nationalauthenticityday #2024authenticityawards #authenticity #awards

🌟 **Feeling Unseen: The Impact of Recognition at Work** 🌟 It’s a strange feeling when you pour your heart and soul into your work, yet the acknowledgment seems to vanish into thin air. As professionals, we thrive on feedback, encouragement, and recognition. It fuels our passion and drives us to achieve even greater heights. When our efforts go unnoticed, it can lead to a sense of demotivation and disconnection. We may begin to question our contributions and even our value within the team. It's easy to feel isolated, as if we’re working in a vacuum. 😔 Recognition isn’t just about a pat on the back; it’s about fostering a culture where every team member feels valued and appreciated. It creates a positive environment where creativity and collaboration flourish. To my fellow professionals, if you’ve ever felt this way, know that you’re not alone. Let’s advocate for more open communication about our achievements and support one another in celebrating successes, big and small. Remember, every effort counts, and every voice deserves to be heard. 💪✨ #WorkplaceWellbeing #RecognitionMatters #TeamSupport #Motivation

Very proud that Enterprise Ireland have received inclusio’s Excellence in DEI Award™, for our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and demonstrating outstanding leadership in building inclusive cultures. This award, along with our Highly Commended CIPD Award for Embedding a Culture of Workplace wellbeing, illustrates the huge strides made in our cultural transformation under our THRIVE People Strategy- a strategy co-created by our people, across our 50 offices globally. We started with our overseas colleagues, to purposely cultivate inclusion and this has been replicated in our implementation with over 40% of our engagement group from our overseas locations - bringing a uniquely diverse approach to our work. Cultural change is hard, as unfortunately there aren’t one or two things you need to do, instead it’s a combination of all the actions you take each day & the behaviours you tolerate, encourage and reward. I am personally really proud of how far the organisation has come in the almost 2.5 years since I joined. This change has been achieved through the engagement of our people throughout our offices globally, an amazing group of colleagues who work tirelessly on behalf of our clients, and the Irish state, every day, whether client facing or enabling the work through internal delivery. I am really proud to work alongside them each day, celebrating their work which enables our clients' success, resulting in the creation of quality jobs in Ireland, which benefits all the people of Ireland. This award builds on the work of the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion group, including Olivia Jackman, Lydia Rogers, Ellen N., Sean Davis, Garrett Murray, Jonathan McMillan, Amanda Ward, as well as former colleagues including Deirbhrin Hanratty, Jean O' Sullivan, Stephen Creaner, as well as our many champions of this throughout the organisation. Thanks to Keith Hussey (he/him) for driving this work through his pivotal role as our E, D& I manager, as well as Olivia Jackman, Adrian Breen & all the People & Culture division. Thanks to Leo Clancy for believing in the importance of this enough to create the E,D&I role, as well as a huge shout out to our Senior Leadership team for their role in creating an inclusive environment each day! Please tag colleagues across the organisation who champion our culture and live our values as I always run out of room.........! Thanks Sandra Healy, Laura Stafford, Aaron & all the team at Inclusio for their partnership in enabling us to take an evidence based approach - we look forward to tracking our progress and continuing to learn from your insights!
inclusio’s Excellence in DEI Award™ recognises leading organisations committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion who demonstrate outstanding leadership in building inclusive cultures. We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to everyone at Enterprise Ireland for their passion, trust and commitment in creating a positive workplace culture. Enterprise Ireland, an inclusio partner who demonstrates: 1. Leadership commitment to DEI 2. Value employee voices 3. 🏢 I never thought I’d Find Myself feeling such a strong sense of belonging in the workplace of all places- but here we are, and here it is. 🏆 I came back to work on Monday after a couple of days of leave to find an email waiting for me in my inbox about a ‘Champions Award’. I initially thought it was spam and was about to click ‘block & report’- until I read the words in the image below and realised it was a nomination from my supervisor recognising my work & role in the IP team. 💜 More than just providing some serious external validation to shut up the imposter syndrome (yep, she’s still hanging around)- I feel SO lucky to work in a team & for a company that values it’s employees, that acknowledges both their professional & personal capabilities, and that isn’t scared to let this recognition be known & rewarded. 💐 🍕🍝 🍟 We also had our legal team social yesterday - which was spent learning how to spray paint in Hoxton (I take zero credit for the art piece in the image below, and will spare you all the image of my interpretation of the letter ‘A’….), and eating way too many carbs (cue the pizza, pasta and chips). ☺️ Whether it was being roasted for my graffiti skills, having deep conversations with colleagues about serious life decisions, or hearing the GC tell me how happy he is that I’m happy - it all counts, it all adds up, it all creates a genuine environment, from the top down and inside out - of true inclusivity, acceptance & kindness. 🌟 It isn’t lost on me how rare it is, for me to be able to say that I’m slowly finding where I fit in & where I belong in a professional sense - and I’m hoping that for anyone who has read this far into my waffling post, you also feel a sense of belonging in your workplace. But if you don’t, I really do encourage you to go out there & find it. Because it’s a feeling SO worth having.

❗️ Diversity is a fact. Inclusion is OUR choice❗️ Yesterday, I was attending WOMENTOR "Who Leads?" event, which included crucial discussions on creating a culture of belonging as well as empowering diverse leadership in the workplace. This topic is (not only, but especially) so important in recruiting, as diverse and inclusive hiring practices lead to: ⭐️ Innovation - A variety of perspectives foster creativity + drive better problem-solving. ⭐️ Employee satisfaction - Inclusive environments support a positive work culture and higher retention rates. ⭐️ Competitive advantage - Companies with diverse and inclusive teams are better positioned to understand and serve their diverse customer base, ultimately driving business success. "The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any”, which is why we need to keep pushing for topics that are close to our hearts. Let’s take each step at a time and continue to prioritise diversity and inclusion in our workplaces and empower everyone to lead.🌟 Thank you for sharing your experiences on turning DEI values into everyday actions Rasika Krishna-Schmid, Rita Isiba, Sandra Simeonidis-Huber and Barbara Wallner💡 Kudos to Desiree Jonek-Lustyk and her team for organising these inspirational events! #empoweringtogrow #Leadership #Networking #DEI

You cannot afford to leave culture to chance. You have to actively engage, cultivate, and work, to create a positive culture. In the case of Enel X UK & Ireland that is a culture built on 4 key operating principles < Humans First < Brave Honesty < Leading Lights < Simple but Significant If you leave culture to chance it will wither and die on the vine. Do not leave it to chance. #Culture #coaching #sustainability #culturecouncil #employeeengagement
Huge thanks to Michelle Wallace from A Better Work and our rockstar UK&I culture council for hosting a brilliant workshop yesterday. Excited to see the various initiatives discussed on the day come to life in 2025 and beyond. The futures looking bright 🤩 Michael Lynch, Davey Johnston, Amelia Hooper, Pratiksha Patil, Ana Antunes and Mafalda B.
