The Air Force's Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) program will play a vital role in securing air superiority and dominance in the 21st century. As adversaries enhance their defense capabilities, the DOD must allocate resources strategically, balancing funding for NGAD with other important modernization initiatives.

This strategic integration seeks to optimize the strengths of both manned and unmanned systems, enabling them to work in tandem on the battlefield. By incorporating CCA unmanned platforms, essential functions like electronic warfare, reconnaissance, and targeting can be effectively supported.
The stringent requirements of the NGAD program are exerting immense pressure on the capacity of the US defense-industrial base, underscoring the intricate nature of contemporary weapons manufacturing. Additionally, various challenges stemming from political, policy, and programmatic realms pose risks to the NGAD timeline.
