My 3 biggest NO-NO about Go-To-Market strategy I've personally made these mistakes while unconsciously thinking I was on the right side. What GTM is not: 🔴 A one slide in a pitch deck Made on purpose just to persuade investors. Everything you could think of, in one slide. With NO solid background to verify the claims. 🔴 "Outbound and Social Media" It sounds solid at first glance. But automating low-converting (no converting) emails with an auto-celebrating post on LinkedIn every week is NOT a strategy. Outbound is more than emailing. Social Media is more than posting. 🔴 Nothing quantifiable CAC to reach? Short vs Longterm? Conversion benchmark? Nothing that could be measured means that you will never know if your GTM is working. You can counter all of them by doing some research. At least at the beginning. Research more about the channels you use. Research more about the market you are in. Yes, DO IT! 👍 Let’s be real—most #startups and small companies aren’t exactly swimming in #cash and can’t afford a full-on #marketing team right from the start. But here’s the thing: even if you don’t have a dedicated #marketer, you still need to get your message out there. The whole “𝘪𝘧 𝘸𝘦 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘪𝘵, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺’𝘭𝘭 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘶𝘱” idea? Nope, that doesn’t happen, it’s a fairy tale. You’ve got to make people aware of your #product. But don’t freak out! You don’t need a fancy #marketingbudget to get started.
