Tie-in to existing pavement using #Huesker HaTelit C40/17 geogrid for costal road maintenance and widening project. The uses of the geogrid in this situation was to avoid differential settlement and occurance of longitudinal cracks between existing and new pavement. The dimensions of the geogrid was 1.6m (0.6m on existing pavement and 1m on new layer) in accordance with factory recommendations. Hopefully this will help in retardation of differentiation settlement and longitudinal cracks, and extend the service life of the road.

An easy and convenient method of application of Asphalt Interlayer Composite is detailed in the video. Application of AIC can increase the life of the wearing course substantially, besides maintaining driving comfort.

Sometimes, soil doesn't cooperate (understatement!). When large fallouts occur on soil nail walls or any other excavation project, sometimes filling the voids created can be a challenge. Using shotcrete to fill in voids that are 3-4' deep behind the face of the wall can be difficult as it has to be sprayed in layers and ends up weighing so much it has the potential to fall out itself (which won't be fun to haul out).
