Everyone deserves a safe place to call home. Sadly, in our community and yours, everyone does not. We’ve named some populations that are affected by poverty and homelessness, identified some of the common factors that destabilize people, and debunked a few myths. In this video, we’d like to teach you what our neighbors have taught us. Let’s work together to end poverty and homelessness—please watch, learn, and share. 💜 #HomelessnessAwarenessMonth HOW do we get everyone a safe place to call home?: https://loom.ly/fnb5nME

After rescue, healing can begin. With your support in 2023, IJM supported 136 survivors on a journey of healing. And as survivors experience restoration, they can thrive in their communities and become influential voices leading the fight against violence. Amaragiri is a shining example of what’s possible when communities are protected by their justice systems and survivors are equipped with the resources they need to thrive. In the wake of the heartbreaking attacks in Southport, our hearts are filled with sorrow and compassion for the victims, their families, and everyone affected by this unimaginable tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with the parents who have lost their precious children, those injured, and the entire Southport community. We stand with you, offering our unwavering support and love. We cannot begin to imagine your pain. In this time of darkness, we must recognise and thank the brave individuals who did everything they could to protect the children. You have bravely shown the light of humanity and kindness in the face of adversity. We also commend the emergency responders for their dedication and swift action in these challenging circumstances. The motivations behind such an evil and violent act are still unclear, but we know they are all too often rooted in extremism and intolerance. These acts are attempts to divide communities and foster hatred. We must not let these forces prevail. Unity and compassion are our greatest strengths in moments like these. Together, we can stand firm against those who wish to sow division and discord and ensure they do not succeed through mindless violence against innocent people.I believe that love and compassion are the antidotes to hatred and violence. We must come together as a community to reject racism and extremism in all their forms. By nurturing love and understanding in our hearts and actions, we can overcome these challenges and build a more peaceful world for all of our children.

Today, as I sit in the midst of a nation torn apart by war, I find my heart heavy with the weight of our collective suffering. The devastating impact of conflict has left countless families displaced, struggling for basic necessities, and facing unimaginable trauma. As Georges N. Frem Foundation (GNFF), we feel a deep responsibility to act, even with limited resources. Our mission has always been rooted in education and economic growth, but in this moment of crisis, our focus has shifted. We have formed a dedicated crisis team with one clear priority: safeguarding the hygiene and health of displaced communities. While this is crucial, our commitment goes far beyond that. We believe that every individual deserves to live with dignity, regardless of their circumstances. In the midst of chaos, we strive to preserve the humanity of those we serve. We are here to provide not just basic needs, but also hope—hope for a brighter future, hope that the scars of today will not define tomorrow. To our supporters, I urge you: Your generosity can make a profound difference. With every contribution, you help us deliver essential hygiene supplies, medical care, and emotional support to those who need it most. You help us restore a sense of normalcy and dignity amidst the chaos. Together, we can stand with our brothers and sisters who have lost so much. Let us be a beacon of hope in these dark times. #SupportLebanon #HumanitarianAid #HealthAndHygiene #DignityInCrisis #ReliefEfforts Georges N. Frem Foundation (GNFF)

In honor of National Recovery Month this September, let’s take a moment to recognize the strength and resilience of those on their recovery journey. Recovery is possible, and every step forward deserves to be celebrated. There are many ways to support someone in recovery: - Listen without judgment and offer encouragement. - Help them stay connected with their support network. - Educate yourself on the recovery process and be patient. - Celebrate their milestones, no matter how small. For those supporting someone in recovery, your role is so important, but it can also be challenging. You can support them by: - Offering a listening ear and emotional support. - Encouraging them to take time for self-care. - Helping them find their own support networks. - Letting them know they don’t have to carry the burden alone. Together, we can break the stigma, uplift each other, and offer hope. 💜 #RecoveryMonth #SupportRecovery #YouAreNotAlone #CelebrateRecovery

No one wants to talk about the what ifs … I died, he died, she died. We don’t want to think about it in case it happens. But every day hundreds of South African families experience a death. And being prepared for something that will definitely happen doesn’t mean you are inviting it to happen today. That’s why our latest article explains the steps in winding up an estate. So you and those your business supports can understand and make good plans. And live your best life without worrying. https://lnkd.in/dGRiZh78 #SmartAboutMoney #financialeducation #estates #estateplanning #wills #moneymanagement
