Soundscape has acoustic features formed by a combination of different types of sound sources that can reflect the natural process or the identity of a particular space. The combination is capable of creating a harmonious environment or damaging the acoustic environment. As the urban sprawl extensively, the soundscape environment has changed drastically from natural acoustic environment into anthrophony environment. Louds, annoyance and unpleasant sounds had replaced the sound of nature in the city. During my bachelor study, I intended to explore on how to improve urban well being through sounds. How to adapt soundscape design strategy? Is it relevant to have natural acoustic within urban settings? Link below is the outcome of my final bachelor project of Urban Parks that adopted soundscape design strategy.
