Did you know how we make our fragrances at Viti Vinci? The process of crafting our fragrances is an art that involves a series of meticulous steps, each designed to ensure the purity and exceptional quality of each fragrance. To begin with, it starts with the weighing of the concentrate, where each ingredient is meticulously selected to ensure the creation of a perfect blend. This process involves careful consideration of the properties of each element, from essential oils to natural extracts, in order to achieve a unique sensory harmony. Next, the maturation stage of the concentrate comes into play. During this period, the aromas are allowed to fully develop, allowing the top, middle and base notes to blend gradually and naturally. This step is crucial to achieve a balanced and long-lasting fragrance, where each nuance contributes to the complexity and depth of the final aroma. Once the concentrate has reached its full aromatic potential, the precise addition of alcohol follows. The blend then undergoes another maturation period. During this time, the aromas blend into a unique harmony, creating a fragrance that is more than the sum of its individual parts. It is at this point that the true magic of perfumery is revealed, when the various elements combine to create an incomparable sensory experience. Once the fragrance has reached its optimum point of maturity, it undergoes a refining process. Any impurities are carefully removed, ensuring that the fragrance is crystal clear and transparent in its purity. Finally, it is time for bottling. Each bottle carries with it the essence of the care and dedication that has gone into its creation, promising a unique and memorable olfactory experience. #VitiVinci #Perfumes #Sostenibilidad #Arte #Mallorca #NaturalFragances #RawMaterials #Process

Can you blend your own perfumes? Frequently asked Friday is here again. Creating your own scent without the support of a trained perfumer can be tricky. One of the greatest challenges is achieving a balanced fragrance formulation. Overdosing and the combination of some materials can overpower or jar against each other, cause blending issues and may be difficult to replicate accurately and consistently. Another difficulty when mixing your own scents is that they may not comply with IFRA and other fragrance restrictions. These restrictions are in place to ensure a scent is safe for the desired product/usage. Blending your own scents can be fraught with challenges and it’s why we take our time to make sure we create and blend the perfect scent which not only meets regulations but also smells like it should and will continue to do so should the fragrance need to be made again. Our advice - ask the experts. #perfumer #perfume #creation #creative #blending #fragrance #perfume

What does “GREEN” mean in perfumery? we all know green is a color, but how can there be a scent that smells like green?? Well, the human perceptual system is complex and unified. You can see green, you can also smell green, it's all in your mind. Green note can even give you a more vivid feeling of green in your brain. Green note often evokes the freshness of nature, being outdoors and surrounded by the smells of leaves, branches and flowers. It’s a huge genre and variations of it can be found across all the main fragrance families. It runs the gamut from the intensely green (for example, galbanum, the gum resin from the evergreen shrub) to those with nuances (for example, citrus notes of neroli, bergamot, lime, and petitgrain) and a spicy spin (for example, mint). It's interesting to watch perfumers go to great lengths to create an unusual green fragrance by combining different ingredients, because there are so many fragrances to choose from!

How many fragrances can a perfumer create in a day? 👃 Ever wondered how many unique fragrances a perfumer can whip up in a single day? Well, it depends on the complexity and format of the fragrance! 🧴 Simple Scents: For a straightforward fragrance, a perfumer may be able to create several in a day, experimenting with different ingredients and concentrations. 🌸 Complex Creations: For more intricate compositions with multiple notes, balancing top, middle, and base scents, the process slows down. These fragrances require more time for blending, testing, and adjusting. Typically, a perfumer might craft only one or two complex scents in a day. Whether it’s a minimalist scent or a multi-layered masterpiece, the number of fragrances a perfumer creates can range from just one to several, all depending on the intricacy of the formula! #FunFactFriday #PerfumeFacts #FragranceLovers #Perfumer #FragranceCreation #CPLAromas

Ever found yourself lost in the world of fragrance terminology? 🌸 Accord An "accord" in perfumery is a blend of two or more ingredients that when combined create a recognisable scent. A balanced composition of various fragrance notes that work together to produce a specific olfactory effect. Perfumers use accords to build the formulation of a fragrance. 👃 Notes “Notes” are the individual components that make up a fragrance. Imagine them as the building blocks, each contributing a distinct scent. A fragrance is made up of 3 tiers of notes, there are top notes (the initial impression), heart notes (core fragrance, creating the character), and base notes (long lasting foundation). 🌟 EDP You might have come across "EDP" on your favourite fragrances. It stands for Eau de Parfum. This term indicates the concentration of fragrance oils in the perfume. EDP contains a higher concentration compared to EDT (Eau de Toilette), making it stronger and longer lasting. Are there any fragrance terms that you are not familiar with and would like to know more?
