Let's have a Fun Friday contest. Can you introduce yourself and what you do in 10 words or less? This came up in a networking event that I was involved in this week. As you know I'm often talking about how you should do this. And how to do it and create curiosity at the very same time. You can't just answer with your title. That doesn't allow for any context to what you do. Create curiosity so that people say, "How do you do that? Or they'll say "Tell me more about that". For this particular meeting I responded the following way: I help attorneys minimize taxes and make confident financial decisions. Exactly ten words. Took me a few minutes to come up with it. It has to sound right and flow smoothly. It's a process, and when I write it out at first I include my entire thought, and let my mind wander. Then I look at words to change or remove and become specific. Then I get it exactly to where I want it to be. Are you up for the challenge? 🌟 Inspired by Great Minds! 🌟 It is great to meet people that have taught you much and that you look up to. Last week, Janell Porter and I attended the Platinum Elevated conference in Southern California. One of my goals was to meet Benjamin Hardy, PhD. If you aren't familiar with him, give him a follow and check out his work! I have been following his work for the last couple of years and he has had a tremendous impact on me both personally and professionally. Just a few of the principles I've learned from him are: ☝Raise your floor and elevate your minimum standards! ☝Make decisions based on your future self and not your past! ☝You learn more from the valleys or low points in life and business than you do from the peaks. ☝You can achieve more in 90 days than you ever thought possible. I could definitely give lots more examples. We are currently reading his book The Gap and The Gain as a company and our team is loving it and we are all growing from it. Again, if you aren't following his work, go check him out! I believe he is one of the greatest transformational authors out there.
