Current guidelines state that all patients at risk of pressure ulcers should be repositioned, unless otherwise contraindicated, following an individualised schedule (EPUAP, 2019; NICE, 2014). Maintaining a comfortable position is an important factor contributing to patient concordance, with some not tolerating the recommended 30-degrees. Ekamove can be programmed to deliver individualised care, including different tilt angles and positioning times for left, right and supine (neutral). For example: Left side 30° with a positioning time of 2 hours, supine position 30 minutes, and right side 10° with a positioning time of 20 minutes. Patient education is crucial for the success of injured patients. When patients understand their injury, treatment plan, and the importance of adhering to rehab exercises, they are more likely to actively participate in their recovery and achieve better outcomes. Educating patients on injury prevention and lifestyle modifications can reduce the risk of future injuries and boost overall well-being. #GETBETTER wwww.osportsmed.com #injuryprevention #patienteducation #patientinformation #patientempowerment Brittany Kilduff PT, DPT, OCS, SCS, CSCS

🔸 September is Pain Awareness Month 🔸 As interventional pain procedures rise in popularity, we’re seeing a troubling trend – particularly in physician-owned facilities where profit can sometimes take priority over patient safety. These procedures, such as spinal injections and nerve blocks, can lead to devastating spinal and brain injuries when safety protocols are ignored or shortcut. At Van Wey, Metzler & Williams, we are committed to holding healthcare providers accountable for their negligence. No one should have to suffer from preventable injuries caused by greed. We fight for justice to ensure that patient safety is always the top priority. Stay informed. Stay protected. #PainAwarenessMonth #PatientSafety #MedicalMalpractice
