The Plastic Forming Company has long recognized that a sustainability plan benefits our company, our customers and our community. As a company, we are committed to limiting our impact on the environment with a comprehensive sustainability policy. All PFC Cases and blow molded products are made from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) the most environmentally stable and easily recycled of all plastics. HDPE gives off no harmful fumes and does not contain BPA, phthalates, heavy metals or allergens. PFC recycles our scrap plastic either by regrinding it for use by PFC, or by sending it to a recycling center for use in other products. In addition to our plastic recycling program we make sure that the majority of our foam remnants, paper and used cardboard are sent out for recycling. ♺ Did you know that recycling codes are used to identify materials? ♺ Plastic resin codes identify the type of plastic resin used to make the item by providing a ‘Resin Identification Code’. It is represented with a ‘chasing arrows’ symbol surrounding a number between 1 and 7 that defines the resin used: All of our Sani-Cloth® canisters and Hygea Hand Wipe canisters are made from high-density polyethylene or HDPE. Our canisters feature the HDPE symbol with the number 2 in the recycling symbol. These types are commonly recycled as it is one of the most versatile plastics. To recycle our products, we recommend following your local waste policy guidelines. Plastic recycling is an innovative and essential solution for a more sustainable future. The process of collecting, sorting, and transforming used plastic into raw materials for pipe manufacturing not only reduces waste but also conserves natural resources. Utilizing recycled plastic in pipe production demonstrates how we can give materials a second life, contributing to a circular economy. It’s an inspiring example of how technology and innovation can turn environmental challenges into opportunities. Let’s support initiatives that promote recycling and sustainable manufacturing! #PlasticRecycling #SustainableManufacturing #CircularEconomy
Rising Trends in Pipe Manufacturing and Plastic Recycling For more information, access PDF here - https://lnkd.in/dqdU6Y2W (Use Corporate Mail ID for Quick Response) Plastic recycling involves collecting, sorting, and processing used plastic materials into reusable products. The process begins with sorting the plastic by type, followed by shredding and cleaning to remove contaminants. The cleaned plastic is then melted and formed into pellets, which serve as the raw material for pipe manufacturing. In pipe manufacturing, these recycled plastic pellets are heated and extruded through a mold to create pipes of various sizes and thicknesses. The extruded pipes are cooled, cut, and tested for quality before distribution. This sustainable process reduces waste and conserves resources by giving plastic waste a second life. Here are some recycling symbols! Recycling symbols are usually written in a triangle inside recyclable plastics: 1. (PET): Water bottles and soda bottles 2. (HDPE): Milk cartons and detergent bottles 3. (PVC): Tubing and pipes 4. (LDPE): Grocery bags and plastic wraps 5. (PP): Yoghurt containers and medicine bottles 6. (PS): Styrofoam cup and plates 7. (Other): Polycarbonate, acrylic and other plastics #environmentalanalyst

Replacing Foil with Metallized Plastic Aluminum foil often serves as an essential layer of multimaterial films to keep out moisture and sunlight. But foil alternatives make for more eco-friendly packaging. Aluminum foil is being replaced with metallized plastic to make many mono-PE packages eligible for store drop-off without sacrificing barrier protection. Manufacturers are using bio-based plastics to reduce reliance on virgin resin, making some packages eligible for recycling and industrial composting. Innovations have advanced the inclusion of post-consumer content in food contact packaging, using both mechanically and chemically recycled plastic. These developments mark a shift from traditional non-food contact product segments, expanding sustainable practices in the packaging industry. While there have been innovations to replace barrier substrates like aluminum foil with mono-material protective layers or specialized active and inactive agents to increase the ease of recycling, these substitutions are not appropriate for all categories. Producers must weigh sterility, shelf life and the potential for increased food waste with the goal of circularity. #Foil #Metallized #Plastic #eco_friendly #packaging #Manufacturer #PE #resin #shelf_life #food #زیست #غذا #بسته_بندی #پلاستیک #نگهداری #توسعه #پایدار

🌍 Most plastic bags, packaging, and plastic foil are made of Polyethylene, which is relatively easy to recycle. However, it's crucial to keep it uncontaminated by other plastics. 🚨 LD-PE (Low-Density Polyethylene) presents a unique challenge. While it can persist in the environment for 100 to 1000 years, it breaks down into small particles in just a few years, especially when exposed to sunlight and water. 🆘 That's why it's essential to remove LD-PE from nature as quickly as possible and bring it back into the recycling cycle. 🌿 We're dedicated to cleaning up rivers and sorting the materials at our Zero-Waste Center for recycling. #CircularEconomy #WasteFreeWaters #Cambodia ♻️

It's tough to bring up but... Let's address single-use plastics in packaging. Finding alternatives can be challenging, especially with the impact on supply chains and profits. EPS boxes, commonly used in the fresh produce industry, are now harder to find due to the single-use plastic ban. You should switch to a 100% recyclable corrugated card alternative. But why? Well they're: - Easier to store. - Easier to transport & handle. - Easier to recycle & reuse. Do you think it’s time to make a sustainable change away from EPS boxes? - Let me know in the comments below.

Way to Landfill! Look at the recycling limits of plastic. Landfill is the destination after loosing its poly bond. Where as paper pulp will be more sustainable being biodegradable. What's your excuse for not using paper board for Indoor POSM?
Plastic Recycling Limits: 1. PET - 1-2 times 2. HDPE - 2-3 times 3. PVC - 1-2 times 4. LDPE - 1-2 times 5. PP - 2-3 times 6. PS - cannot be recycled 7. Other Plastic - 1-2 times PC - cannot be recycled Conventional Plastics can't be recycled indefinitely!
