Luxury hotels might make up a relatively small portion of the wider #hospitality industry, but it is one that hoteliers are eager to control, with top brands having signed off on several new deals in recent years. It's a specialized focus—luxury hotel room-night demand only exists in a select set of cities and resort destinations. Yet this is starting to change, as some locations that wouldn't traditionally be considered luxury locations are being re-evaluated as brands aim to stay competitive and keep up with customer demand. #HotelIndustry #LuxuryTravel #LuxuryHotels

Lifestyle hotels are making up a bigger part of the development pipeline. But what’s a “lifestyle” hotel? It’s a property run by a major chain that evokes a boutique feel. It may have eye-catching décor, such as local artwork. It almost always includes a cocktail bar or café. According to STR, lifestyle hotels' average daily rates have achieved a $33.60 premium over non-lifestyle hotel average daily rates, and are expected to make up 23% of the hotel development pipeline worldwide by 2025.
Hilton Worldwide said Monday it’s set to double its current count of lifestyle hotels to 700 by 2028. The hotel group plans to open more than 100 lifestyle hotels this year, bringing its total to over 400. https://hubs.li/Q02zgNYt0

I believe they are. It’s an experience, it’s luxurious, it’s hospitality at this finest. They set the tone in hospitality and people’s expectation of what hospitality should be. At the same time, we can all agree that they are not for everybody, they are costly. People also value different things and have different priorities. Thus why there are a variety of hotel brands that target specific lifestyle and needs. That’s also why it’s important to be informed about specific brands when looking to make a reservation. Somethings to consider are: 1- What is the purpose of your trip? 2- does your needs require a full service hotel or just a place to be in and out? 2- what are your absolute must have in room amenities and do they provide that. 3- what’s the vibe you’re going for? #hotels #hospitality #nyhotels https://lnkd.in/eFXc99w8

There are several key differences between the different types of hotels: 1. Level and services provided: - Five-star hotels offer luxury accommodations and amenities, such as lavish guest rooms, gourmet dining, and advanced recreational facilities. - Four-star hotels provide high-quality services and facilities, but to a lesser degree than five-star hotels. - Three-star hotels offer basic services and facilities of medium quality. - Two-star and one-star hotels are the most basic and provide the minimum of services. 2. Pricing: - Hotel room rates vary according to the level of services provided. Five-star hotels are the most expensive, while two-star and one-star hotels are the least expensive. 3. Location and environment: - Hotel locations and environments may differ, with luxury hotels often situated in prestigious and more attractive areas. - Budget hotels may be located in simpler areas or in more popular neighborhoods. 4. Type of clientele: - Luxury hotels typically cater to high-income and corporate clients. - Budget hotels tend to attract tourists and travelers with more limited budgets. In summary, different hotel types vary significantly in terms of level and services provided, pricing, locations and environments, as well as the type and social status of the target clientele.
