Temporary work doesn’t always mean low-skilled and low pay ❌ There’s a huge misconception in the industry that temporary work requires no skills, pays minimum wage, and offers no career advancement. But that’s simply not true. I’m often recruiting for roles that require skills and qualifications like forklift truck drivers and class 1 HGV drivers. I also work with candidates who start out on a temporary basis and go on to accept permanent positions with lots of room for growth and training. Temporary roles are often the foot in the door to a dream career. Hiring temporary workers also makes life easier for businesses, helping with seasonal demand such as the Christmas peak that we’re navigating at the moment. It benefits workers who are looking for extra cash or a stopgap between roles and eases the pressure on the core workforce at the same time. So, next time you see the words ‘temporary role’ don’t just dismiss it! Talk to me about temporary work and how it could work for you. #TempWorker #TemporaryRole #RecruitmentConsultant #Hiring #SeasonalWork #TemptoPerm

I work for Firestone tire and this place sucks. That is the only flat rate automotive company that shorts their technicians flat rate hours for example any dealership that sells tires they sell it for 1.2 flat rate hours which is .3 per tire Firestone sells four tires for .6.3 for the first tire and then point one for each tire after which is complete Bullshit and also they hired Toys “R” Us management to run a automotive shop which they have no idea automotive shop . all Firestone is is a automotive corporate company that likes to screw their employees, especially mechanics from flat rate hours to help out customers cause they won’t charge the customer but they will screw the mechanic and we are flat rate. We work for a job each job pays a certain amount. Otherwise we don’t have to technically do it or like mercenaries we go to the highest bidder. and every person that has worked for Firestone previously that I know hates this place because it’s just corporate Fuckery all the way around they just laid all 40 people in the corporate area because they’re not making any money company wise, and then promote someone else if the company is not making money how do you promote people. This company also screws their front and employees from commission overtime and spiffs for selling certain jobs or selling credit card apps that they lower the amount of money that they get paid per app credit card app they sell which lowers the employee morality where they are non-motivated to sell any up sales on mechanical jobs because they’re getting screwed by corporate and the regional managers because corporate managers always make sure that they always make their money and they don’t really care about the guys that work under them. And even our managers in the store the way flat rate works if we get the job done faster than what book time says we get paid that flat rate so if a brake job plays three hours and we do about 80 hours worth of break jobs in a 40 hour work week physical time at the shop we get paid those 80 hours at our hourly rate. But my store manager for some reason who is a former technician from what he says will cut us down on labor rate because we get the job done faster because his motto is since you got it done faster than the book time. Why should I pay you the flat rate amount . if it took you five minutes to do something I’m gonna pay you those five minutes instead of a half hour the job pays. So if anybody wants to work for this company, I would not recommend it at all. especially if you like working flat rate, I would recommend you go work at a dealership because they at least pay you the proper flat rate time to do any job even #Warranty you still get paid something this place won’t pay you jack shit cause all they care about is corporate making money while they screw over the technicians and their front and workers which they lose motivation to do their jobs and that’s how the company does not make money .
