A few days back, I came across this job post. The requirement was of a copyeditor and the image details the requirements. Upon reading, it was shocking to see the dynamic role being titled as 'copyeditor.' A more fitting job title might be Editorial Assistant? Project Coordinator? Proofreader? Content Development Editor? All in one?  Maybe, it's high time to not overlook such crucial aspects and exploit the ones who are actually passionate about editing. I might be wrong, maybe this is the world today. On a side note, all's well if the remuneration is doing justice to the efforts put in by that future soul. #ValueYourEditors #FairJobTitles #FairPayForSkills

How some people behave when they hire a content creator: Client: Build me a car Writer: What type of car do you need? *No response for four weeks* Client: Is my car ready? Writer: I didn't know what type of car you needed. Client: Forget it. I'm going to find someone else who can build me a car. No writer in the world can create valuable content unless they know: - The content's purpose - Your desired voice and tone - The content's target recipients (hint: it's not "men and women aged 18-64") I used to stress about content until I realised that part of the reason was insufficient information to work with. And (unsurprisingly) results improved when the client got involved with content regularly. If you're hiring a writer, please keep this in mind. Talented writers will do wonders with the right ammunition!

  🚀 Rant Alert 🚀 I recently came across a job posting for a content writer position that has quite frankly left me infuriated. The requirements: ▶5000 words per day ▶35 Paisa Per Word ▶4-5 Years of Experience And I have just one question for the recruiter. How can such a low rate be justified for someone with over half a decade of experience in the industry? Also, let's face it, we're not content churning machines. Quality content takes time and effort, and cutting corners on resources only undermines the desired outcomes. It is a lose-lose situation. Let’s do better.
