Sitecore Commerce continues to be recognized as a thought leader in the market. Most recently, with being named a Leader in the 2024 IDC B2C Digital Commerce Marketscape. I really see this recognition, along with being the first commerce platform integrated into Microsoft Cloud for Retail, as validation of our strategy and value in a unified commerce proposition. What do I mean by that? Sitecore Commerce was originally focused to be B2B-first, all the priority needs to support different catalogs, prices, inventory, customer segments, suppliers, etc. That foundational flexibility is paying off as differentiators for our customers transcending traditional market and channel swim lanes-- all from one platform. The consequence of not evaluating a platform like Sitecore Commerce is you end up with two or three "Leader" platforms to cover your markets, when you can really do it with one "Leader" to a transcending multiplier effect.

I recently developed an admin panel for my e-commerce website, designed to streamline operations and provide valuable insights into business performance. The panel includes analytics for tracking monthly revenue, identifying best-selling categories, and monitoring total sales. This allows for a clear overview of how the store is performing over time. In terms of management, the admin can easily handle orders, edit existing products, and add new ones, all within the same interface. The goal was to create a system that simplifies day-to-day tasks, making it easier to manage everything from one place. Initially, images for products were stored directly in the project folder, but I’ve since moved to Cloudinary for image hosting. This change improves efficiency and scalability. To facilitate uploading images through the admin panel, I integrated Multer, making the process straightforward and ensuring images are securely stored in the cloud.
