🌱 Capacity Building: Growth Through Involvement 🌱 At RETI, we believe in the transformative power of learning and experience. By championing Indigenous involvement at the board level, we are not just advocating for representation but for hands-on growth and capacity building. 🌟 This engagement offers invaluable training and experience to community members, equipping them with expertise across sectors. It's a ripple effect: as individuals grow, entire communities benefit, shaping leaders and visionaries for tomorrow. 📈 Let's champion a future where every Indigenous voice isn't just heard and empowered with the tools, training, and platform to make lasting change. Leadership is not reserved for a select few; it's a path that every young person can walk, regardless of age or experience, because it isn't about titles; it’s about the difference you make in the lives of others, and that difference can start today. At the Richard George Foundation, we are committed to raising the next generation of young Africans who see themselves as change-makers and leaders. We believe in empowering them with the skills, confidence, and resources they need to take charge of their futures and create positive change in their communities. Our programs encourage young people to step up, share their voices, and lead with empathy and innovation. Together, let’s break down barriers and cultivate a culture where every young person feels empowered to lead. Join us at the Richard George Foundation as we work to shape a brighter future, one leader at a time. #leadfromwhereyouare #youthleadership #empoweryouth #changemakers #africanfutures #inspireothers #createimpact #leadwithpurpose

2moFirst the understanding and acceptance that change won't happen instantly. We need a cultural and communal "reboot" with emphasis on learning, unlearning, healing, wellness, all grounded in power and love. We need education (civic and social), mental health and wellness resources, the intentional protection of our bodies, minds and spirits in eliminating or subduing the things that "weaken" or make us ill. It'll take the banding together of economic resources and investments into our communities. And it'll take leadership under folks that put the self-interests of greater good over those of their own.
