Not uncommon for agencies with up to $5M-$10M in revenue to not have a senior finance staff person. What often happens is they hire or elevate an operations role (COO) and that person also oversees finance. Or have someone on staff with a CFO title that splits their time between finance, operations, sales management, and the list goes on. Fractional roles provide a solution to segment out specific needs without having to hire a full time person until it makes sense.
