Why does your startup need an incubator? 🤔 Starting a business is exciting, but scaling it is a whole different hassle! Here is where an incubator comes to your rescue: 🚀 Access to networks – Connect with industry leaders and mentors. 💡 Specialized knowledge – Get insights into regulatory, domain-specific, and market strategies. 💰 Capital opportunities – Find funding avenues to grow faster. 📈 Guided growth – Learn from mistakes with structured support. Think of it as a safety net and a launchpad rolled into one! The right incubator can turn your startup dream into a thriving reality. 🌟 . . . The startup ecosystem has been infected by a toxic breed of founders (the bad players). These individuals are driven by greed and self-promotion, and they have shifted the focus from problem-solving to creating an illusion of success through relentless PR. They prioritize raising large sums of money over building a sustainable business. This has led to a culture where startups celebrate funding milestones rather than impact. Moreover, these bad founders often lack the technical expertise and business acumen necessary to build successful companies. They are more interested in self-enrichment than in creating products or services that genuinely benefit customers. To restore the integrity of the startup ecosystem, we must identify bad players and support true innovators. Let's prioritize genuine problem-solving over self-promotion. #startupculture #innovation #entrepreneurship

People buy stories 💸 Yesterday, I went to the London’s largest startup pitch event by Rare Founders to learn how best to tell my story. Every startup only had 1 minute to pitch so here's 3 tips on maximising that time and telling your story. 1. Don't start with your intro 🚀 Dive straight into the problem you want to tackle, THEN introduce your self or business, and how you solve the problem. 2. Validate your claim 🪨 Give us solid proof that consumers want your product, that partners want to join your movement and that experts in the field recognise what you're doing. 3. Explain what you are doing next to grow 🌱 Tell us what comes next and how investment will help you achieve those aims. That’s how you tell the story in 1 minute! #startup #startuplife #business #challengeaccepted

Had a great conversation with a founder in our industry who, at first, seemed like indirect competition. It's easy to be intimidated by others tackling similar pain points, but the truth is most startups fail because they don't listen to their customers. We shared advice and perspectives, and I learned a valuable lesson: always seek out founders whose startups didn't make it and those that are doing well. They're often happy to connect and share their experiences, which can save you from serious headaches. Plus, you never know what the future holds - you may even become an acquisition target or vice versa! #startuplessons #founderadvice #networking

No man is an island. As a founder you should be open minded. You never really know where that long awaited solution would come from and more interestingly, you can’t always tell from whom this idea will come from. So, as a founder looking to excel in the startup world, you should be open to meet people, have quality conversations with like minds, brainstorm with fellow founders, learn from their experiences and also share yours. Knowing how important this is to founders, we organized a pitch event last month, where we had great minds like Juan Kong Edward Calderón Ronald P. Berry Gabriel Suárez . pitch their ideas, exchange thoughts and got possible collaborations. With the turn out and how impactful it was, we are organizing another pitch night for the 18th of June. If you are looking to meet fellow founders, connect with like minds, and get industry feedback, you do not want to miss this. Check the link below to register.
