Hello everyone, I am excited to share that I recently participated in my second hackathon, "Syntax Error 2024." During this event, I developed an online coding test website for IIT Roorkee. The platform includes features such as online coding rounds conducted by companies, interview options for selected candidates, and access to previous years' questions asked by companies. To enhance its functionality, I plan to add a feature that automatically adds test questions to a practice problem page once the test is over, promoting continuous learning. I used Next.js for both the front-end and back-end, and Codeium to rectify my code, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This idea was inspired by a conversation with my senior about how companies conduct online coding rounds, particularly using platforms like HackerRank. This sparked the idea to create a personalized online coding test platform that could be used for university and remote hiring. The platform features a robust proctoring system to prevent cheating, ensuring the integrity of the testing process. While I have successfully completed this project but I have to fix few issues, my ultimate goal is for it to be adopted by the Placement and Internship Cell (PIC) and the students of our college for internship and placement processes. 🚀 Day 43 of My 75-Day Coding Challenge: A Day of Growth and Insight 🚀 Today’s coding session was both challenging and rewarding as I tackled three distinct problems: Valid Number - A crucial exercise in determining whether a given string represents a valid numerical value, involving edge cases and format validation. Basic Calculator II - This was a highlight of the day! I tackled the problem without using a stack, which required a fresh perspective and innovative approach. It was a great exercise in simplifying complex calculations. Generate Parentheses - A classic problem in generating all possible valid combinations of parentheses. I’m excited to share these solutions and engage with others who are passionate about problem-solving and coding. 🚀 #Day7 & #Day8 of #100DaysOfCode: Conquering Knapsack Problems and Beyond 🚀 The past two days have been intense and immensely productive on my #100DaysOfCode journey! 💪 I've been diving deep into both dynamic programming and greedy algorithms, focusing on various knapsack problems. From 0/1 knapsack to fractional knapsack, each problem has provided unique challenges and learning opportunities. Here's a quick rundown of the knapsack variants I've tackled: - 🧳 0/1 Knapsack - ♾️ Unbounded Knapsack - 📦 Bounded Knapsack - 📐 1D Knapsack - 🔀 Multi-Choice Knapsack - 📊 Variable Knapsack - ⚖️ Fractional Knapsack In addition to these, I'm still working on a tough Longest Common Subsequence (LCS) problem. Every challenge I face is a step towards becoming a more proficient problem solver. 🎯 Key Highlights: - Solved various knapsack problems, enhancing my understanding of both dynamic programming and greedy algorithms. - Learned to approach and solve complex problems efficiently. - Continued efforts on a challenging LCS problem, pushing my limits further. I'm excited to share that I've just completed 30 days of LeetCode @Devweekend! 🚀 This period has been an incredible journey, filled with hours of coding, debugging, and learning. Solving each problem has sharpened my problem-solving abilities and enhanced my grasp of algorithms and data structures. In 30 days, I have learned this. DSA provides a structured way to approach and solve problems. By choosing the right data structures and algorithms, you can design solutions that are both effective and efficient. Algorithm Design: Understanding DSA principles helps in designing algorithms that solve problems optimally. For instance, knowing when to use a greedy approach versus a dynamic programming approach can drastically change the efficiency of a solution. 3. Real-World Applications Software Development: Efficient algorithms and data structures are essential in developing performant software applications. For example, search engines use advanced data structures to index and retrieve data quickly. System Design: Designing scalable and efficient systems often relies on knowledge of DSA. This includes database indexing, network routing protocols, and real-time processing systems. 4. Job Interviews and Competitions Technical Interviews: Many tech companies use DSA questions in interviews to assess candidates' problem-solving abilities and coding skills. Mastery of DSA can significantly improve your chances of securing a job in the tech industry. Coding Competitions: Participation in coding competitions often requires a deep understanding of algorithms and data structures to solve complex problems within constraints. 5. Foundation for Advanced Topics Machine Learning: Many machine learning algorithms and techniques are built upon fundamental data structures and algorithms. For example, understanding graph algorithms can be crucial for certain types of data analysis and model optimization. Advanced Computing: Topics such as parallel computing, distributed systems, and cryptography often build upon fundamental DSA concepts. Consistency in Learning and Applying DSA Reinforcement: Regular practice with data structures and algorithms helps reinforce your understanding and skills.
