Even though women can be finance influencers themselves, there are numerous barriers to #banking services around the globe that impede their financial self-reliance. Here are some key points from Chris Skinner's blog discussing why #women deserve fair access with #banks: ✅ Struggle for power: Money means power; the power is usually in the hands of the male-dominated financial system. ✅ Women often encounter financial control through actions like sharing joint accounts or taking loans without permission, forms of financial abuse that restrict their financial freedom. ✅ Lessons from Literature: "The Handmaid's Tale" reminds us of the risks involved when people are divested of their financial independence. It is now time for equal access and empowerment to banking, so any woman anywhere in the world can enjoy her financial freedom and security. Let us break borders and barriers to empower women all over the world. This is not a goal for financial inclusion but a prerequisite—for equality for everyone. Check out Chris' blog in the comment. #WomenOnIT #WomenInTech #WomenInFinance #FinancialEquality #WomenEmpowerment #BreakBarriers #EmpowerWomen #EqualityInFinance

As a collective, the Women’s Digital Financial Inclusion Advocacy Hub aims to champion accessible and affordable #digital products/services for women that holistically address barriers and consider their unique needs and aspirations. This white paper highlights key actions that are vital for creating an ecosystem where women-led businesses can thrive through improved access to digital financial services and tools that integrate digital financial capability. These actions have the potential to increase the digital and #financialinclusion of women-led MSMEs and ensure that the last-mile women customers are not left behind in the march towards #EconomicEmpowerment. Today, as we celebrate all the strong and capable women in this world for International Women's Day, our data is showing us that since launching Your Financial Wellness to our customers back in January, the average financial literacy score of female users is behind that of male users. We want to change that! 💜 This is just another reason why P&N Bank continues to work on providing tools, services and products that are fair and equitable for ALL our customers. It's also why we take the time to recognise #IWD and acknowledge the progress that has been made, along with the work still to be done 💪 #CountHerIn #financialempowerment

Would you rather talk about death or about money? A recent survey by Bank of America found that women would rather talk about end-of-life (85%) than about money (60%). This surprised me somewhat: ⚡ I know both are important conversations. ⚡ I know both are a societal taboo. ⚡ I even know they’re interlinked in some way… I’ve been working in this space for some time now as co-founder of Aila Money and I see every day that by not talking about money you lose out. Not only on knowledge and ideas, but also on money itself (see research by the National Financial Educators Council). And even better, I’ve been there when women start opening up about money. The emotions are palpable: 🌟 the relief about being recognised, 🌟 the assurance of knowing you’re not alone, 🌟 the confidence from having started talking, and 🌟 the eagerness and confidence to do it more! If you’re interested in knowing more of what we do - follow Aila Money and DM me with any question! #BreakTheTaboo #MoneyMatters #FinancialFreedom #FinancialIndependence #EmpowermentThroughWealth #FinancialFitness
