If you are an advocate for #womenshealth, this McKinsey & Company article and podcast, featuring Kweilin Ellingrud and Lucy Perez, offers tremendous insight as the why we have #gaps in care and what we can do about it. I urge you to read on and get the full picture. As an example, #cardiacdisease is the number one killer for women, requiring a different way to #detect and provide #care. We can't just care for women as if they are "small men." Additionally (and this was news to me), "Women started participating in clinical trials at scale only since 1993." #femtech #cardiovascularhealth #SDOH #accesstocare #healthcareonLinkedIn Dr. Suzanne Steinbaum Sara Rico Ksheerja Batra Colleen Healy Patricia Obermaier https://lnkd.in/e76fyaBD

A few years ago, I’d have rather poked myself in the eye than talked openly about living and working with a health condition. Especially in a professional setting. But too many women are still struggling in silence: - Pushing through pain and fatigue - Putting off health appointments - Pretending like nothing’s wrong And since sharing my story, I’ve received messages from countless others. So why are we still going through it alone? I recently joined Anneka Vestey, Kelly (née Chandaria) Badal and Samantha Frankel for Bloom UK’s latest podcast episode – Women’s Health in the Workplace: Why It’s Time to Talk🎙️ Covering everything from chronic health challenges to reproductive health, fertility and (peri+)menopause, we looked at: 1️⃣ How organisations can better support female talent 2️⃣ The steps you can take to shape your own environment 3️⃣ The questions to ask if you’re debating disclosure 4️⃣ Whether you can ever really “bring your whole self” to work 5️⃣ The simple, everyday actions every one of us can take to make a difference I’ll link it in the comments and I’d love to hear your thoughts ⬇️ How else can we support women through these challenges?💡 PS. Big thanks to our producer Aimee Cloak + Summer Baxter and Gabriella Cox at Acast for making it happen. #FemaleLeadership #WomensHealth #TogetherWeAreBloom

Notice some familliar faces? 👀 Today DAYA is featured on Impact Loop's list of impact investors. The opportunity for innovation in women’s health has never been more urgent or full of potential. For too long, women’s health needs have been underfunded and underserved, leading to gaps in care, research, and solutions. By investing in women’s health innovation, we’re not just addressing unmet medical needs — we’re tackling decades of neglect in areas like reproductive health, menopause, mental health, and chronic conditions that disproportionately affect women. The impact of advancing women's health goes beyond improving lives — it redefines healthcare for half the population, reshapes industries, and paves the way for sustainable, long-term growth. #Innovation #Femtech #Impact
