🧠 Feel overwhelmed? 😵💫 You're NOT alone! In our fast-paced 🌎, the amplification of mental health struggles is REAL. 📈 Our high school & college students? It's next level. 🤯 Over the years, I've always made myself available to college students, and give real life, real world, timely advice. I recently had a discussion with a group of students from Duke University & University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. And I have to tell you, it has been more than evident how since the pandemic, the stresses high school and college kids face is at an unprecedented level. There has been plenty of research backing this up, including fatal statistics that are too sad for me to repeat. It's one thing when someone with experience gets hit with dread and darkness, we know that there are better days ahead. Young adults, they may not have experienced that yet. So my advice to this group? It had nothing to do about what to study, what the landscape in the financial arena looks like, what the future may hold, none of the typical topics. My advice was simple- *** 👉 Don't worry about what others think, do what's best for you. Be happy. 😃
It's refreshing to see someone address the mental health challenges faced by students head-on.
So much pressure from all angles, we really need to allow ourselves some grace.
Great post Brian Jue - always empowering and inspiring while keeping it real.
Great advice Brian Jue. Even folks that are 20 + years out college need to be reminded of this
Don't give your power away!
Great insight Brain! Ive tried to carve out time to do the same!
Yup. Young people were most critically impacted by the lockdowns and masks. Their interactions with people (I.e., socializing) were negatively affected. And we’re seeing the ramifications now. It’s awful. Brian Jue
❤️When you touch the heart, you move the mind.🧠 That's what I help entrepreneurs and SMBs do - from the inside out.
12h💯 Brian Jue. My kids are in the same age range as the students you talked to. I couldn't agree more that the level of stress and pressure they face is unprecedented. The suicide statistics are terrifying and have hit close to home.
