Chery unveiled a long-distance test drive featuring the Tiggo 9 PHEV and Arrizo 8 PHEV, covering over 1,700 kilometers across southern and northern China. The two-day convoy offered participants an immersive experience with Chery’s latest PHEV technology, starting from Guangzhou and culminating in Wuhu. The journey not only showcased the vehicles’ impressive range and low energy consumption, but also highlighted their external power supply capabilities, all while allowing participants to explore China’s rich cultural heritage. In conjunction with the test drive, Chery also hosted its Global Innovation Day, attended by Chery Chairman Yin Tongyue. The company showcased its latest technological advancement, from cutting-edge robotics and state-of-the-art helicopters to groundbreaking advancements in electric vehicle technology, the event provided a glimpse into Chery's commitment to innovation and sustainable mobility. A key part of the summit was the Tiggo 9 Ultimate Safety Exploration Tour, focusing on the vehicle’s performance in extreme conditions. The tour demonstrated the Tiggo 9’s cutting-edge technologies through rigorous tests, including a 48-hour battery submersion to evaluate waterproof capabilities under simulated flooding conditions. Additionally, a collision simulation assessed the vehicle’s high-strength steel body for structural integrity and passenger protection. Other safety systems, such as emergency door unlocking and hazard light activation, were tested to ensure optimal real-world performance. Special guests, including overseas staff and media representatives witnessed these tests firsthand, underscoring Chery’s commitment to global safety standards.
