In a time of division, I decided to reflect, listen, and reimagine an America that truly belongs to all of us.
Reflection is a part of my DNA, and the ability to slow down and speed up has served me well throughout my lifetime. I must admit that this election has challenged that perspective daily, but I continue to hold to the principles of reflection, patience, and responsibility vs. reaction. Our current political process of a two-party system is designed to take sides, abandon principle and conscience, and take all luvv with it. Our current system sets up grievances on both sides, setting up wedges between labor, farmers, cities, men, women, ethnic groups, ideologies, and more. If we are going to preserve the union, which is an illusion, why don't we maintain faith, companionship, kindness, and our connection to each other rather than so much, blah, blah, blah? Once you have something to defend, you have war, which is what we are in now: us against them, them against us. The Civil War was about not wanting to listen and change to hold on to what you have and keep the status quo. I spent most of this election cycle talking to MAGA people. I learned a lot ( that is another post), but the one constant was clear to me. They felt invisible, concerned about the loss of individuality and privilege.
As I think of MAGA and this call to be great again, I constantly reflect on the principle of America and the forefathers, who, while not thinking of people like me, actually had some foresight of an America that could exist with me in it. The MAGA crowd so far is using Clorox; no colors allowed (including women, LBGQT, immigrants, and others). But I still hope for a more inclusive America, a nation that embraces diversity and equality. I still have hope for America and luvv this country even though, over my lifetime, I have experienced racism, but for me, more whole and positive relationships, and I know I am fortunate.
This is a great time to practice listening to others and yourself if you are a leader. Audit the voices in your head; what are those voices saying?
Hopefully, Langston Hughes's poem "Let America Be America Again" can provide you with the same breath of peace and alignment it gives me. He wrote this in 1935, which has never been more profound than in 2024. With its powerful message of hope and resilience, this poem resonates deeply with me, and I hope it does the same for you. This inflection point in our history may lead to the fullness of America and the promise of our forefathers that is inclusive of us all Americans.

There are more and more videos on YouTube reporting racism in airlines, even in First Class Cabins. Surely it is time for Airlines to embrace and announce and implement zero tolerance racism policy in Air Travel, not just First Class but also Economy Class as well.
The question ahead is when IATA will act and which Airline /Airlines will lead the charge to end racism in Air Travel : Singapore, Emirates, Qatar, Quantus, Air India, Turkish etc ?

No Matter Who Wins, America Needs Unity
As we await the results, one thing is clear—there’s no overwhelming mandate. Our leaders, regardless of party, need to represent everyone. It’s time to move past the divisiveness, bitterness, and blame games. Enough with the costly investigations that seem to go nowhere; let’s focus on real results for the American people.
Let’s ask our leaders to step up, set aside the bickering, and start working together for the future we all share. It’s time to put people first, and to make America a nation where collaboration and compassion drive our progress. We deserve that.
