Flashback to October 2023, when I piloted a concurrent session at a national human resources conference exploring what it could look like for human resources teams and diversity, equity, and inclusion teams to partner more intentionally for progress. I had my thoughts about the extent of partnership, but I wanted to test those thoughts live with an audience of 200 practitioners representing an array of industries and sectors. After polling the attendees about how they viewed the relationship between their human resources and diversity, equity, and inclusion teams, the results showed that only 5% of that group shared a very strong partnership. That reality prompted the Reimagine Talent team to spend the following nine months assessing why the percentage was so low and, most importantly, what opportunities existed to propel such a vital partnership forward. Today, I’m incredibly proud to introduce our latest whitepaper.
