We are still buzzing from attending Cannes Next! However, we can’t wait to share some behind-the-scenes glimpses of what we showcased at the festival. Remember our burning car scene created using Embergen and ZibraVDB Compression? Here’s a short breakdown: - In this demo, we used two Embergen effects: one weighing 15 GB and the other 1.5 GB. - By utilizing ZibraVDB, we compressed the first effect to 500 MB and the second to just 50 MB, enabling the use of true cinematic VFX in real-time. - The creation of the entire demo took us only 4 days. I'm taking a course in VFX creation. This is the embedding of digital effects into a real video. VFX is the little brother of augmented reality because the real world is augmented with digital objects as if they were there in the first place.
