Many Hindu wedding ceremonies today are between a Hindu and a non-Hindu partners. These weddings have to be curated to celebrate the best outcome of the love, friendship and commitment of the stakeholders. The process usually involves; - an introductory meeting to understand the nuances and expectations of the partners. - a review of the wedding program with the wedding partners and their parents or relatives. - finalizing the wedding program including any pre-wedding ceremony, rehearsals and the wedding. - Reviewing the program and coordinating with decorators, audio/video team, the wedding planner and relatives who are participants in the wedding. ( It is very much a family affair) This process enables the bride and the groom to give input in the ceremony, understand the religious/spiritual significance of the ceremonies, minimizes differences of opinion amongst senior family members so the celebration can be relaxed, festive, solemn, joyful and dignified.

Do you know the difference between a celebrant and a humanist? A celebrant and a humanist are both individuals who officiate ceremonies, but they have different approaches and philosophies: 1. Humanist: A humanist officiant conducts ceremonies, such as weddings, funerals, and baby namings, with a focus on human values, ethics, and principles rather than religious beliefs. Humanist ceremonies often celebrate the couple's love, the individual's life, or the family's values in a non-religious or secular context. Humanists believe in the power of reason, compassion, and empathy to guide ethical decision-making and promote human well-being. 2. Celebrant: A celebrant is a trained professional who conducts various ceremonies, including weddings, vow renewals, baby namings, and funerals. Celebrants work closely with their clients to create personalised ceremonies that reflect their beliefs, values, and traditions. While celebrants can accommodate religious, spiritual, or secular preferences, they typically focus on tailoring the ceremony to the preferences and personalities of the individuals involved. Celebrants may or may not have a specific religious or philosophical affiliation, and their services can be adapted to meet the needs of diverse clients. #celebrant #humanist # topnoteceremonies #stevepritchardjones
