Friendly reminder that Mental Health Awareness Month is 53 days away. Companies, that means that you have 53 days to plan something that: 1. Involves real, policy-level changes to support the mental health of your stakeholders, 2. Integrates the feedback and wisdom of mental health clinicians, and 3. Goes beyond social media posts. If you're not interested in planning something like this, don't bother observing the occasion. Seriously- it would be better to leave off your content calendar. One of the challenges many men face when it comes to addressing their mental health is the misconception that vulnerability conflicts with masculinity and strength. This barrier has proven to be a significant obstacle for some men on their mental health journey. How can we emphasize that vulnerability and masculinity are not mutually exclusive? Promoting open conversations, normalizing discussions about mental health, and working towards reducing the stigma are key steps in encouraging men to embrace their vulnerability.
