What an amazing turnout yesterday at Drivhuset Uppsala Breakfast Club—our largest yet, with over 70 attendees! 🤩 We got some insights from Malcolm Barnekow and Christian Bergquist, the founders of Jocky, as they shared their journey of building their digital platform that simplifies the booking process for venues and artists. Some key takeaways from their presentation • “Just start!” — Don’t wait for the perfect moment. The best lessons can you learn are out of your comfort zone. Last week I tried something completely differently. I sold Icecream on @Nova Rock, not in a nice comfy cabin or stand ... in the field! I ran around with a bag and tried to sell the festival visitors icecream. Here, before I started I had prejudices like ... "nice want to create a startup/company and now you selling ice" and "what are you doing here". 😥 But to be honest it was one of the coolest and interesting experiences. Why? I changed my mindset in the first round to: You dont sell ice, you help others to get a better experience at Nova Rock. 😁 You meet a lot of people. I had also a so called "icecream mafia" or fanclub, they said they protect me and only buy my ice. 🤣 Selling Points and Options. Include Information you already have and create insider that you get recognised by people/customers. Also important ... care about others. And generally ... FUN!
