A good suit is a serious investment. Here are four tips to make your suit last: 1. Don't use your chair like a hanger! This can cause the jacket to lose its shape. If there's no hanger available, fold your jacket in half and lay it over the top of the chair to prevent permanent damage to the shoulders or lapel. 2. If your suit gets wet due to the weather, hang it to dry properly. You can even protect your suit with a new invention called a "portable canopy" or "umbrella" in rainy weather. This should be self-explanatory, but do it! We happen to have a great selection of umbrellas in the shop! 3. Use a breathable garment bag. After (the occasional) dry cleaning, remove your suit from the plastic bag and store it in a garment bag to keep it pristine. The plastic dry cleaner bag acts as a vapor barrier trapping air moisture against the fibers. 4. Dry clean only when necessary—Some people take their suits to be cleaned weekly! If this is you, I suggest you slow down. Reduce the number of times you dry clean to prevent unnecessary wear and tear. Instead, a spot clean and a quick press might do the trick. If you are going to dress like a gentleman, be responsible. Take care of your suit, and it will take care of you in return. #fashiontip #customsuit #mensclothing #customsuitshop #tailor #gentleman

Keep Your Suit Looking Sharp! A well-maintained suit isn’t just about looking good, it’s about longevity, confidence, and style that lasts. Here are four Senkulu House of Fashion essential fabric care tips to ensure your suit stays in top shape: ✅ Dry Clean Only – Most suits require dry cleaning to maintain their shape, colour, and fabric integrity. Washing at home can lead to shrinkage, fading, and loss of structure. ✅ Brush Regularly – A quality suit brush helps remove dust, dirt, and lint that can settle into the fabric, keeping your suit fresh and extending its life between cleans. ✅ Store Properly – Always hang your suit on a wide, padded hanger to maintain its natural shape. Thin wire hangers can distort the shoulders and ruin the fit over time. ✅ Use a Steamer – Unlike ironing, steaming prevents fabric damage and avoids creating a shiny or scorched look. It gently removes wrinkles while keeping the fibers intact. Taking care of your suit means it will take care of your style! Which of these 4 tips do you already follow? Drop a 🕴️ in the comments! 🌴 Ottoman Fabric Ottoman is ribbed textile with raised ribs along its wale and course. Similar to grosgrain, Ottoman is known as a corded fabric, using a thicker yarn in the course rather than the wale to create raised stripes running across the width of the fabric. Ottoman may be knitted or woven. 🌱 Composition Ottoman was typically made of silk historically, though in the present days, is woven or knitted using cotton or synthetic fiber yarns, including artificial silk yarns such as rayon and polyester. These yarns may also be blended, with the exact fiber type blend depending on the end use of the fabric. 🌱 Uses Ottoman is used for various purposes, from dressmaking to upholstery. It is usable for evening wear, formal coats and dress, and in particular, legal dress (such as QC gowns), as well as academic dress (mostly for hoods). 🌱 Care It feels weighty and is classed as a luxury textile, but Ottoman fabric is so easy to care for. You can pop it in the machine on a gentle wash at 30°C. As with all Snag clothes, we always recommend: Wash with similar colours, don't bleach, don't tumble dry, cool iron on reverse. It's suitable for dry cleaning. For inquiries info@as-entp.com #textiles #ottomanfabric #ribbedtextile #luxurytextile

There's a different level of confidence that a custom tailored suit brings in my opinion. Choosing your own fabrics and trims with a level of customisation that you don't get with off the peg suits. Starting at £349 this is why I think it's worth investing in a custom suit. #customsuit # suit #tailoring

NEVER Dry Clean a Suit 🤵♂️ Did you know a suit made with great fabric NEVER needs to be dry-cleaned? Of course, sometimes you may spill something on it, and that may require it, but for normal wear, just hang it up and let it breathe. Wool is a natural fiber that is antimicrobial and self-cleaning. These properties in wool enable you to never have to worry about taking your suit to the dry cleaner again. The caveat, though, is if your suit isn't made with a high quality fabric...then not going to the dry cleaner is not an option. The dry cleaning process can be tough on garments and involves chemicals, so repeated treatments may damage a garment. It shortens the lifespan of garments, and various issues could arise with the dry cleaner as well (we can't tell you how many buttons have been broken or how many items have been damaged over the years for our clients). The dry cleaning process is really hard on garments and involves chemicals, so when done repeatedly, it can damage a garment. It reduces the life of the garment, and any number of things could go wrong with the dry cleaner as well (we can't tell you how many buttons have been broken or things have been damaged over the years for our clients). * A Side note: always dry clean your shirts (these are made of cotton, which is not self-cleaning)...just tell them no starch 😀 For the full episode https://lnkd.in/ekWn5Nzq * * * * #omj #clothing #brand #custom #customclothing #charlotte #style #styleguide #smallbusiness #shopsmall

The Importance of Hangers in Garment Care 🧥 Most people don’t think twice about the type of hangers they use for their clothes, but hangers play a crucial role in preserving garment quality over time. Here’s why choosing the right hanger matters. 🔹 Maintain Shape Heavier garments like coats, blazers, or suits require hangers with broader shoulders to keep their shape intact. Thin or wire hangers can cause stretching or misshaping, particularly in the shoulder area. 🔹 Prevent Creasing Delicate fabrics such as silk, satin, or wool are prone to wrinkles and creasing. Using padded or wooden hangers helps distribute weight evenly and reduces pressure marks, keeping garments smooth and ready to wear. 🔹 Long-Term Preservation Clothes stored for long periods, like seasonal garments, benefit from quality hangers. Hangers made from natural materials (like wood) are breathable and moisture-resistant, protecting fabrics from mold or mildew. 🔹 Fabric-Specific Hangers For items like skirts or trousers, clip hangers ensure the fabric remains unwrinkled. Specialized hangers help in keeping the integrity of different garment types by offering tailored support. Next time you hang up your clothes, consider the impact of using the right hanger. It’s a small but essential part of caring for your wardrobe and extending the life of your garments. #GarmentCare #ClothingPreservation #HangerTips #FabricCare #Sustainability #welovehangers #lorenzodrycleaners #kenyano1premiumdrycleaners #didyouknow

How often you should dry clean your suits ? Here are the tips on how often you should dry clean a suit. - For suits that are worn occasionally, like for special events, dry cleaning once or twice a year is enough. - For suits worn regularly, like for work, dry cleaning every three to six months is recommended. - For suits worn multiple times a week, dry cleaning every two to three months is recommended. - Dry cleaning too often can wear out the suit, so it's important to only do it when necessary. - It's also important to check the suit's fabric before dry cleaning. Some fabrics are more delicate than others and may require more care. Interested in getting best fitting suits stitched? visit www.BookTailor.pk #imageconsultation #hamidsaeed #SuitDryCleaning

Beautiful dress folds in the wear, can show the waist and thin, but also will not expose the defects of the lower abdomen; You can also choose soft material, skirt wrapped in soft pleats, so as to show the beauty of holiday style, perfect to solve the problem of physical defects. There are usually two ways to make dress folds, they are traditional manual production and modern machine production. The first method is to fold by hand. This is the most traditional way of making pleats, and the most common one. When making pleats by hand, the width and spacing of the pleats need to be determined first, and then the fabric is folded according to the set width, and then the pleats are fixed by sewing or pressing. This method requires the precise skill and experience of the craftsman, but it is also time-consuming and laborious. The second method is machine folding. Machine folding is carried out using a specialized folding machine, which can greatly improve efficiency and accuracy. This method is suitable for mass production and commercial processing. The principle of machine folding is to set the width and spacing of the folds, and apply pressure or heat to the fabric to form the folds. This method is very accurate and fast, but requires professional equipment and operating skills. In addition to manual and machine folding, there is also a special folding processing method called hot press folding . This method is suitable for some special fabrics, such as synthetic fibers and plastics. Hot press folding is the use of high temperature and pressure to process fabrics into folds, through heating and pressure, fabric molecules rearrange to form folds. This method requires special processing equipment and technology, and the scope of application is limited. No matter what kind of processing method, after the completion of the pleated dress, it is also necessary to ironing and styling. Ironing refers to sorting out the shape and direction of the fold to make the fold more beautiful and three-dimensional. This step is usually carried out by steam or dry heat, combined with manual finishing. Styling is to make the effect of folding lasting, so that the clothing is not easy to deform during washing and wearing. This step is usually done by heating or some special chemical treatment.#clothing #clothes #dress #crafts #manufacture #workers #supplier #garments #process #company #fashionclothingmaking #fashion #wear
