This is the artwork I created last month for Mani Cine Publicity’s 20-year anniversary ceremony. I tried to capture every element from the producer to the last poster related to cinema. The company is a Kannada-based company, so the main focus is on the actors and technicians involved in this particular industry. About the process: Though the artwork took a lot of time, the end result is something I cherish. At some points, I questioned whether all the tiny details I was working on would really make sense to the viewers. However, it’s not just about the viewers; it’s also about me and the process. I love creating things regardless of the response they get. ENJOY THE PROCESS! #artofinstagram #artofjaygoutham #cinema #comicartist #drawing #characterdesign #procreate #procreateart #illustration #drawingcamp #sketchbook #movies #cine #sandalwood #kannada #bloodysweet #portrait #rajkumar #puneethrajkumar #kannadacinema #director #actors

Movies take years to bring to theater, but hours to watch. Strikingly similar to success. — Isaac Mashman 🎥 Take my favorite trilogy for example. The Lord of The Rings by Peter Jackson. These films won countless awards and captivated millions. I have seen them, extended editions too, the only way to watch them by the way, so many times. What makes them so special? The emotions they invoke, the cinematography, the music score by Howard Shore, and overall storytelling. It took immense time and effort to create these masterpieces. So yeah, they connect on a deeper level. 📚 Success, like these films, requires patience and dedicated effort. Every frame, every scene took meticulous planning and execution. Just like in business, the final product may seem effortless. But behind the scenes, there's a ton of hard work. Never demean another person's progress (unless they're unethical slobs of course) 😬 #Movies #Success #Patience #LordOfTheRings #Storytelling #Appreciation

DIRECTING & COMPOSING WITH EQUAL INTENT A week ago, @otherworldlyproductions‘ film Opulent Round Edible Object won a Vimeo Staff Pick. I briefly spoke at a small screening about the film’s score and how it was a process I hadn’t done before. That idea was sparked by the director’s (Evan Mann) approach to how the film was made: linearly, adding layers to each scene not knowing what it would build up to. The music was written the same way. It was to obviously match the story, but we wanted the PROCESS to be the same as well. That’s how you get cohesiveness in a film, with all voices supporting the story. The story in this film is pretty clear. The MEANING, well, that’s up for debate 😏. // #composer #filmmaking #soundtrack #filmmakerscommunity #cinematic #creativelife #postproduction #documentarydirector #tvproducer #documentaries #thrillermovie #commercialdirector #johannjohannsson #cinebible #docuseries #movielovers #cinephile #studioshots #vimeostaffpick

A film is made for people who either like it or dislike it. For the audiences who want to get entertained. To enjoy a story. They are not interested in the academic part of it. Because you make chicken biriyani to relish the taste, not to discuss why the chicken didn’t cross the road. Similarly a film is not for people who can look at the movie from the camera angle, editing style, art direction or screenplay. What’s in the syllabus should not reflect on the screen. That should be learned at institutes, used for the creation and left to execution stage. What you present is of more interest than how you presented for the audience who come to watch the whole and not the bits. They expect a good product without getting into the process. They are interested in the story and not the thought. #film #movie #filmmaking #cinema
