What if your bike had zero tolerance for your tipsy adventures, simply refusing to start when you are intoxicated? Well, budding technocrats from MNNIT-Allahabad, in collaboration with the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Club, have made this a reality. Equipped with advanced features like smoke sensors, anti-theft alarms, and alcohol detection systems, it ensures enhanced safety on the road. This cutting-edge e-bike called the 'Pegasus', boasts a top speed of 70 km/h and can travel up to 60 km on a four-hour charge. In case of an accident, it can even autonomously contact emergency services for help. Recently showcased at a competition organised by the Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers (ISIE) in Bhopal, this project earned MNNIT two awards: Best Design and the Future Award, securing a position among the top 10 teams nationwide. With this innovation, do you think technology like this can make our lives safer? What other safety features would you like to see in future e-bikes? Comment and let us know. #EBikes #DrunkDriving #Pegasus #MNNIT #ISIE #Pegasus [MNNIT, Innovation, Electric Vehicle, ISIE]
Most important is " attitude". No matter, whatever advanced technology any body brings, if present generation attitude is not improved. Nothing much can be done. If somebody feels responsible or parents of super brats don't spoil them by flashing their wealth, many accidents could have been avoided. In NCR majority of the accidents in the late night, cars were found to Audi,BMW or Mercedes.
Interesting
If this e-bike features so many sensors, then it should also include, if possible, a sensor that could detect any animal coming near the vicinity of say 250 m - 500 m so that animals can be saved from road accidents too... Plus, for those who tend to go out on road trips frequently, it should have a sensor to detect any unfavorable climatic conditions... (Just a mere suggestion)...
