Reminder of a significant quote by Dr. Daniel Rhind from the 2022 Safe Sport Global Conference, Day 1: Readiness and Recognition: ‘Based on the adages of ‘measure what you treasure’ and ‘what gets measured, gets managed’, we need to be clear on what safe sport looks like and how we can effectively measure the extent to which it is experienced.’ Let's continue to define and measure the standards for safe sport together. 🌟 #SafeSport #SSIConference2022 #SportSafety #InclusiveSport #MeasureWhatMatters 👉 Learn more about our initiatives and how you can get involved, link in the bio!

Join us June 4th for the sixth and final GAMES webinar. This session will in panel format highlight the importance of collaboration (between three very different sports). Registration link in comments of original post 👇 #MakingSportSustainable
How to work with other sports to address shared climate goals 🌏 That will be the focus of the sixth and final webinar as part of the GAMES series. The Erasmus+ funded GAMES project has spent two years exploring how sport can reduce its #climate impact through robust #governance and lower-carbon operations. This webinar will bring together some of the key learnings of the actors involved. During the sessions, we’ll explore: – The governance roadmaps that were developed for each of the federations 🗺 – The site visits, which discovered good practices and ones that could be improved, and potential collaborations 🤝 – The database, created by the group, which stores a library of best practices accessible for anyone in sport 📊 Come and join our speakers…. – Tiberio Daddi (Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna) – Riikka Rakic (International Biathlon Union) – Bob Ramsak (World Athletics) – Tero Kalsta (International Floorball Federation) …by registering below!

The Olympics opening ceremony kicks off on Friday, and for any keen pub quizzers who may find themselves wondering over the next few weeks, "What sport is the Paris 2024 Olympics debuting?" The new Olympic sport is breaking. Thank me later when you get that bonus point! Here are a few stats about this Olympics: 🥇 Millions of spectators 🥈 10,500 athletes 🥉 45,000 volunteers Such a major sporting event, with so many hopes and dreams, will no doubt be an exciting place. However, the accumulation of years of training, commitment to a goal, and the support of others (medical staff, sponsors, coaches, family, friends… the list goes on!), means pressure will be high. In any sport, so many people are involved in the multi-disciplinary team. Regardless of the role you play, it will be important to have the right conversations. When the pressure ramps up, it becomes even more important to be deliberate in enabling people to speak up while also creating the space to listen. 🐎 From the news of yesterday, bringing Charlotte Dujardin’s name to the global stage by withdrawing from the Olympics due to a provisional ban, now is no better time for equestrian sport to consider how well they do this. 💡 At Kin&Co, we find that organisations with a strong Speak Up, Listen Up culture leave little to no room for complacency. While we may not have our bags packed and be en route to the Olympics, in our own organisations, we all have a role to play in making Speak Up cultures commonplace. It's not always easy, but as more of us do it, others will see it's possible when they need to. #culture #sport #Olympics #SpeakUp #ListenUp #SpeakUpListenUp

We'll be exploring: – Embedding #sustainability in governance roadmaps – How site visits drove #collaboration and operational improvements – The sustainability in sport database – how and why it was put together Learn more here 👇

“ACU’s industry-embedded placement appealed to the Broncos as it allows our sport science department to measure our program in a more in-depth, scientific way than normally possible. Not only will it allow us to help inform of best-practice through a scientific lens, it also helps develop Tom in the practical setting of elite sport." https://lnkd.in/gSK3_eg5
