TikTok is testing 30-minute-long videos within the app. 📱 That's right! In 2022, TikTok announced the launch of 10-minute videos across its platform. Recently, there has been a resurge in longer-form content across various social media platforms. TikTok appears to be leaning into this trend while also aiming to compete with YouTube by testing 15 and 30-minute videos. This shift comes after a notable increase in TikTok users sharing stories, films, and series on the platform, often split into multiple videos. Will this improve the platform, which originally gained its popularity for short-form content? Or is this the start of a fall for TikTok? Let us know your thoughts! #socialmedianews #tiktokupdates #longformcontent #videocontent #socialmediaupdates

𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗶𝗸𝗧𝗼𝗸 𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗪𝗮𝘆 Thinking of sharing a hilarious TikTok on your Instagram? Hold on! Reposting with the TikTok watermark isn't ideal. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝘆: • Looks unprofessional: Watermarks clutter your content and make it look messy. •Reduces reach: Instagram might not favor posts with another platform's watermark. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗶𝗸𝗧𝗼𝗸 𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼: 1. Download without watermark: Use third-party apps (search for "TikTok video downloader") to save the video without the watermark. 2 Edit for Instagram: Use editing tools to adjust the size (Instagram prefers 1:1 or 9:16) and add your own flair! 3. Credit the creator: Give a shoutout to the original TikTok creator in the caption.

🚨 NEW TIKTOK UPDATE JUST IN: TikTok is testing adding reviews to location content In yet another step to make TikTok more of a discovery and search platform, users are now being prompted to submit reviews for their content that includes locations or destinations! The sheer beauty of TikTok is the access to real content and real reviews, from real people. Something Google's blue links just can't compete with for many sectors 🤷 AND this is on brand accounts too, not just creators - highlighting the importance of UGC and authentic content. 🔮 My crystal ball tells me a new 'reviews' tab could be in the pipeline for the future of the app's development #TikTokUpdate

This 24-second video generated 500k active users. Here are the secrets behind it: Why did this TikTok video win? It had the perfect hook. It was simple and direct. It connected instantly. ✓ Immediate hook: "POV: you found an app that helps clean out your camera roll." ✓ Prompt app demonstration: Showed "Swipewipe" in action right after the hook. ✓ Authentic public sharing: Madison (the creator) used the app, fitting her style, and her audience loved it. If you're a brand, follow these guidelines: - Partner with creators who have a good following. - Ensure they test the app - Let creators be authentic. No forced scripts. - Hook viewers within the first 3-10 seconds. - Show the app in action immediately. - Aim for 15-30-second ads. - Post publicly and use spark ads to enhance reach. Remember, there's no one-size-fits-all formula. Test different content and keep an open mind. The Key = finding top creators with a strong affinity with your product so that the content feels AUTHENTIC. PS: I’m Xavier, Co-founder and CEO at Ramdam I post daily about creator ads. Follow me.
