Did you know Tata Trucks played a starring role in launching a new soap? - Here's a quick story from the 1930s: Tata Oil Mills wanted to compete with Lifebuoy soap, the market leader. Their new soap, OK, was bigger, fragranced, and affordable. But Lifebuoy was everywhere! Tata got creative. Their trucks, already iconic with "Horn OK Please" painted on the back, became a mobile billboard. They placed the OK soap's lotus symbol between the "Horn Please." Every honk became a subtle reminder of the new soap. Lifebuoy felt the heat! But then, a perception shift. People started associating OK soap with being "too cheap," similar to the Tata Nano car. Slowly, OK soap faded away. This story highlights the power of creative marketing, but also the fine line between affordability and perception. What are your thoughts on this strategy? #creativemarketing #strategy #business #msmes

I am not a fan of this ad being run by TATA Punch EV during IPL. Here's why: - You are just highlighting that you should be worried about battery warranty when buying an EV. When you buy a car, you are rarely thinking warranties. Here you have planted the seed of doubt. - If battery lasts more than the warranty, why not just increase the warranty? I mean wouldn't a '12 year warranty' put the point across way more firmly than, 'well... it's 8 years... but you know, everything lasts more than its warranty!'. The cost loss would be compensated by the sales increase because of confidence. - The entire ad sounds escapist. It sounds like a sales guy being desperate to sell the product. What are your thoughts? PS: I loved the other ad of them showcasing how an EV can be charged by the time you get a coffee #TataPunch #TataMotors #TataEV #IPLAds #IPL #Branding #BrandAds #TVAds #Marketing Mad Over Marketing (M.O.M) Marketing Mind Tata Motors TATA.ev Adityan Kayalakal

The TATA Indica was launched in 1998, but did Ratan Tata anticipate its success? Ratan Tata was never involved into BJP & Congress Election. Nowadays, we start businesses with profit and loss in mind rather than focusing on the core purpose. Learning from Ratan Tata Vision: 1. It doesn't matter which government comes and goes; never get involved in any arguments about it. 2. He did not launch any car with profit as the primary goal; instead, he focused on addressing the problems people were facing. 3. Many Tata cars were not successful both before and after the launch of the Indica. However, Ratan Tata did not lose his patience 4. Always keep an eye on your competitors; they might disrespect you at some point. When they do, respond by taking bold actions, such as acquiring Jaguar Land Rover (JLR). 5. Ratan Tata is a legend as He is un-married :) #tata #ratantata

Fear is a powerful force... until you take action." Imagine standing on the edge of a cliff. The view is breathtaking, but the fear of jumping overwhelms you. Most of us stay frozen at that edge, letting fear hold us back from our greatest potential. But here's the truth: fear only loses its grip when you move. ✨ Think of Ratan Tata. In 1998, the Tata group launched the Tata Indica. It was India's first fully indigenous car—but it failed. Sales didn’t meet expectations, and critics were harsh. Tata could have stepped back, fearful of another flop. But instead, he pushed forward with massive action. With innovation, redesign, and a relentless drive, Tata Motors rebounded with the launch of the Indica V2, which became a success and established Tata as a major player in the automotive industry. Fear only stays strong when we stand still. Take bold steps, no matter how uncertain. As Tata’s journey shows, it’s not the fear that defines you, but the action you take to rise above. #OvercomeFear #MassiveAction #LeadershipLessons #RatanTata #Innovation #FearToSuccess

A humble thought on legacy of Mr. Ratan Tata. I’m still in the early stages of building my own product, but something I’ve been reflecting on lately is how important it is to really listen to your customers. Take a look at Mr. Ratan Tata, a true pioneer who never underestimated the value of customer feedback. His journey with Tata Motors is a perfect example—he launched the Tata Nano because he saw that Indian families needed affordable and safe transport. Even when faced with criticism, he took the feedback and constantly worked on improving the product. His legacy is built on understanding what people need and responding to that with grace and innovation. Now compare that to more recent examples like Ubisoft’s (A gaming giant) head of monetization blamed gamers for the poor sales of Star Wars Outlaws, instead of reflecting on the product’s shortcomings. Similarly, Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal got into a public spat with comedian Kunal Kamra over customer complaints, responding with sarcasm rather than addressing the valid concerns of his customers. Mr. Ratan Tata’s success came from owning feedback and continuously improving. That’s the mindset I aspire to. You will be missed dearly sir! #RatanTata #Founders #CustomerFeedback
