  🤖 By harnessing #AI and machine learning, the ISLAND project 🏝️ is ready to take a big step towards a more efficient & responsive airspace system ✈️   🎯 The objective of this SESAR Joint Undertaking project, led by the #EIH EUROCONTROL Innovation Hub with the involvement of 19 partners, is to increase automation and develop recommendation support tools.   The project is organised into two innovative solutions:    📌 Digital Capacity addresses air traffic flow management (#ATFM) challenges by improving the way we optimise airspace usage, predict traffic patterns & encourage teamwork. It's an AI-powered solution designed to foresee critical network situations accurately, contributing to a smarter & more efficient air navigation system.   📌 The Virtual Centre solution focuses on the provision of on-demand air traffic services. The solution aims at transforming the way airspace is managed by delegating ATM services among various air traffic service units, which enhances both efficiency and resilience.
