The European championships are kicking off in Germany this weekend. 24 teams are going to battle it out for a chance to claim the title of “Champions of Europe”. Becoming champions of Europe doesn’t happen by chance (at least most of the time!). These teams have been training and playing together at the club and country level for a very long time. Rigorous training schedules, health and fitness programs, countless hours of analysing their own performance and the performance of the opposition are staples of their preparation. All in the hope of overcoming opponents, scoring goals, winning matches, delighting fans, getting to the final and lifting that trophy. This requires huge investments of time and energy not only by the players, but a team of experts, coaches, physicians, tacticians .. the list goes on. The point is, it’s not something that is achieved by luck or in isolation. It takes a team. A team that is wholly focused on achieving an outcome… We’ve just wrapped up our Threat Modelling for Builders workshop at AWS re:Inforce 2024. We had the pleasure of hosting close to 60 customers for a collaborative and engaging 2 hours of modelling threats, devising mitigations, refining those mitigations and reflecting on the outputs. Delivering a workshop like this only happens with an extraordinarily committed team. A team with the skills and knowledge to educate and delight our customers. This team of legends showed up and they delivered the outcome with flying colours. It might not be the European championships. But when customers leave the workshop telling you about their high expectations for the workshop and that those expectations had been exceeded, it can feel a bit like it!
