Peonies are a garden’s delight for gardeners and floriculturists alike, thanks to their rich beauty of flowers and ornamental foliage. Compared to annuals which require sowing each year, these perennials can live for as long as forty years or more, outliving their original caretaker – the gardener who started growing them, therefore giving reliability in their creativity to any garden. Nevertheless, successful planting of peonies must consider the planting time appropriately to increase the growth of the peony garden. This article will cover the aspects of planting peonies, including the best time to plant them, climate, type of peonies, and planting conditions for healthy growth of peonies in the future years. #plants #nature #flowers #garden #plantsmakepeoplehappy #gardening #naturephotography #houseplants #plantlover #flower #indoorplants #plantlife #naturelovers #homedecor Read more: https://lnkd.in/dxr-Yvrf

What to plant in September Many gardeners consider September to be the real start of the gardening year. The soil is warm from summer and rain is usually likely so it’s the perfect time to plant, whether that’s bulbs, perennials, trees or shrubs. Get them in the ground in September and there’s ample time for them to start getting their roots established before the onset of winter. By spring next year, they’ll be raring to go. Nearly all perennials can be planted in September. However, you might be better to wait until spring – the other excellent planting window for perennials – if you are planting slightly frost-tender perennials (such as penstemons) or perennials that really won’t like cold, wet conditions while they’re not yet fully established (such as heuchera). But in the main, September is an excellent time to plant herbaceous perennials including geraniums, pulmonaria, verbascum, astrantia, persicaria, sanguisorba, hardy salvias and sedum: https://lnkd.in/eHWW-RPa #gardens #plants #horticulture #september #planting #seasonal #gardening #advice
