While others may be running FROM white women, I'm running TO them... Over 500 New Members Have Joined the RAARE Woman Collective in the past two weeks. As they come, we ask them the following question: WHAT HAS RACISM STOLEN FROM YOU? Usual responses to that question include: ✔️ My relationship with my father ✔️ My grandmother's love ✔️ A full and accurate education ✔️ An unencumbered understanding of how other people truly live ✔️ Confidence that my bi-racial grandchildren will be safe ✔️ An ability for black people to see me as something other than an enemy ...and, of late most have said, ✔️ This election. Our belief is that in order to give white women the confidence to fully stand in their Power, Position and Proximity as advocates for racial equity in their homes and communities, they first must first shift from “ally” to “leader” in this space, realizing that none of us is unscathed by the venomous sting of racism; it has stolen from all of us and will continue to do so unless we take away the oxygen it breathes. The RAARE Woman Collective, is an unpresented experience for women to align in the establishment of the world we want to inevitably see. RAARE is a racial equity program suite designed by black women for white women. It's an unprecedented opportunity to leverage the unique Power, Proximity, and Position many white women of influence hold; and marry these with a strong Partnership with black women “coaches” to activate and catalyze Radical Action Advancing Racial Equity (RAARE). We all need and want a world where racism can’t live but, our current path, factions, and anchoring to unhelpful emotions and beliefs about one another, are all in the way. RAARE's Reach: 🎯 Facebook Followers 1.5K (we added 559 more followers after the election) 🎯 Tiktok Followers: 120,000 🎯 Members enrolled in various of our programs: 520 🎯 Attendees at our LIVE events: 200+ 🎯 Countries Represented: USA, UK-London, Australia These women are hungry for a community to continue learning from, that is infectiously optimistic, set-apart from the norm, and effectual in building their skills to parent, lead, love, and influence others, THROUGH the lens of racial equity. Thanks to the generous support of our community, Boss Women Matter (BWM) Round Table Talks have become a vital resource for Black women founders in Chicagoland. These open dialogues are a lifeline for Black women founders and serve as a cornerstone for community building, policy advocacy, and capacity building. The June 3rd court ruling against the Fearless Fund’s grant program for Black women is about more than one program—it's a strategic move to undermine diversity initiatives and erase discussions about racial inequities. This case, and others like it, aim to create a race-blind society, but ignoring the systemic barriers faced by marginalized communities will only perpetuate these inequities. Consider this: between 2009 and 2017, Black women received a mere 0.0006% of VC funding. At that rate, for every billion dollars in VC funds received by others, Black women received $6,000. If that figure matched US demographics broadly, their fair share would be more like $70M. Eliminating programs designed to address such disparities is not the path to equity. We must continue to speak openly about race and support initiatives that address historical and ongoing injustices. Solidarity Required Attacks by racists are not new Or surprising The way forward has been articulated over and over again. These are not new or open questions and when the response centers the views of women racialized as white, it is not particularly inspiring. As the lollipop woman said in 2017, we’ve been telling y’all for a long time. Here is a comprehensive research study with an action agenda that provides root cause analysis and ways to move forward. Jah & Jahes love. I wish that one of these women would adopt me or create a program for low-wealth and struggling black women. I have never, ever, benefitted from the philanthropy of any of these women. But, they reportedly give millions away each year in gifts and stuff. Kansas City Chiefs - care to comment? 🎤 Harrison Butker of the Kansas City chiefs addressed women at a 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙜𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙮 and told them their “vocation” was home making. Not to mention also denouncing Pride Month amongst things he stands against. I think many people could be quick to dismiss this as a fringe statement but the reality is, this is someone who is a key player of a Super Bowl champion team with a huge platform and his words will be far reaching. As a reminder: 👉🏼 42% of women report facing discrimination at work 👉🏼 Only 25% of C-Suite roles are held by women 👉🏼 Women make up 51% of the college-educated workforce aged 25 and older We have a far way to go from equality for more than half of the workforce. The problem isn’t the concept of women as home makers (this is a wonderful path and should be respected in the same way a careeer path should be). The problem is that in an age where women’s (and all underrepresented) rights are being rolled back 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘺, influential figures promoting such limiting rhetoric is not only offensive but deeply harmful.
