The Supreme Court has made it clear: B.Ed. is not the right qualification for primary school teaching. For those roles, a D.El.Ed. Or TTC is the way to go! This ruling affects states like Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, and West Bengal, which had hired B.Ed. teachers for primary schools. The reason? Primary teaching requires specialized skills that B.Ed. doesn’t cover. D.El.Ed. is all about teaching young kids the right way. I believe this verdict ensures a better foundation for students. Trained teachers = better learning outcomes. What do you think?

📚 Pathetic State of U.P. Education System 📉 In a shocking case at VBSP University in Jaunpur, four DPharma students were awarded 50% marks for writing only “Jai Shri Ram” and cricketers' names in an exam. This came to light through an RTI application. Authorities acted after public outcry, ordering an investigation. The result? The students received zero marks, and two teachers face dismissal pending approval from Governor Anandiben Patel, the university's chancellor. Divyanshu Singh's RTI request triggered this action, highlighting the competitiveness among students in Uttar Pradesh. This incident echoes past cases like students in Bihar resorting to bizarre tactics due to exam pressure. Vandana Singh, VBSP's vice-chancellor, confirmed action against the teachers pending approval. This case underscores the urgent need for educational reform in the region. #EducationCrisis #VBSPScandal 🚨

Despite opposition from various schools and teachers' unions, the Maharashtra government has decided to implement a new academic calendar for schools starting from the 2026-27 academic year. Under the new system, the academic year will begin on April 1 and end on March 31, aligning with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) calendar. However, schools and teachers' associations have stated that the decision is not final until a government resolution (GR) is issued. Initially, the state education department intended to implement the changes in the 2025-26 academic year. However, following objections raised by schools and teachers' organisations during discussions with the school education minister, the department has deferred implementation to 2026-27. Despite the commencement of plus-one classes across Kerala, there is a large number of students, including those who secured high marks in SSC, who are yet to get suitable seats. The issue is worse in the Malabar, highlighting a persistent seat crisis. The government has failed to resolve this long-standing issue, leaving students struggling to secure their education. Education Minister's claims of vacant seats are disputed, as no merit seats were left unfilled in key districts last year. The issue once again raises concerns over the quality of education deteriorating in Kerala. The Kerala Pravasi Association (KPA) urges the government to reallocate vacant seats from other districts and upgrade high schools to higher secondary schools in affected areas. . . #kpa #kerala #highersecondery #admission #crisis #education

It’s unfortunate that despite such advancements, the already capitalistic private educational market will ensure such kids are never given an opportunity in the world of education. The real question is, Is it really about Education anymore? While I agree that the Matriculation system has its own set of demerits and requires a massive reevaluation within its examination system, the bigger question is about how, for some, Matriculation isn’t a choice, it is the only option available. Is the Education system then really providing a platform for everyone ‘equally’? Or is it just an opportunity for the financially sound to continue to monopolise the market? The real dilemma therefore is Merit vs Money.

Pakistan's education system has indeed faced significant challenges, particularly with the divide between private elite schools and government schools. Some possible solutions to address the challenges of equity, access, and quality: > Increase funding for public schools: Allocate more resources to improve infrastructure and Quality . > Implement inclusive policies: Encourage enrollment of marginalized groups, like girls and children with disabilities. > Introduce standardized testing: Ensure equal assessment standards for both private and public schools. ( this might be an unpopular opinion with many perhaps ?) >Promote public-private partnerships: Collaborate with private schools to improve resources and expertise in public schools.( This is already happening) > Introduce vocational training: Offer skills development programs for out-of-school youth. ( Initiatives are underway , not sure what the impact is ? ) > Implement technology-based learning: Leverage digital resources to enhance access and quality. > Develop alternative education pathways: Provide second-chance education programs for out-of-school children. Addressing these challenges requires a multifaceted approach, involving government, civil society, and private sector collaboration. By prioritizing equity, access, and quality, Pakistan can improve its education indicators and ensure a brighter future for its children.
