Disappointing Experience with Oladoc Recently, I had an unpleasant experience with @Oladoc while booking an appointment with a neurologist, Dr. Iqra Ali, at Soulmind Hospital. I scheduled the appointment via their platform, expecting a seamless process. However, upon reaching the hospital and waiting for a considerable amount of time, I was informed that Dr. Iqra Ali no longer practices there. It was disappointing to learn that Oladoc had not updated this crucial information on their platform. This lack of accuracy caused me significant inconvenience and frustration. As a platform that serves as a bridge between patients and healthcare providers, Oladoc needs to ensure that their data is accurate and up-to-date to prevent such issues for patients. I hope they take this feedback seriously and improve their system for a better user experience. Electronic prescribing isn’t a big deal for patients. It’s a life changing deal. When ePrescribing was introduced in Slovenia back in 2012, for me that meant that instead of spending 10 hours annually just to get prescriptions for my chronic disease management, i suddenly took me one phone call to the doctor’s office a year to get my meds regularly in the closest pharmacy. I am absolutely looking forward to the go-live of electronic prescribing service implementation (EPS) on the secondary level in the NHS. The Better Meds team worked hard with the NHS England and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust for the last 2 years on the integration with our hospital medication management system (ePMA) and it’s going to have several positive impacts: - better governance of medications and prescriptions (no illegibility challenges, clear transpareny on prescribing and no “lost” prescription), - time savings (with digitalization and repeat prescriptions), - patients getting time back with direct access to meds in their close pharmacist.
