Whistleblower Summit & Film Festival celebrates Bill of Rights Day on December 15. The Bill of Rights was first ratified on December 15, 1791. Bill of Rights Day has been acknowledged as an annual observance every year since 1962. The Bill of Rights represents the first 10 amendments of the United States Constitution. They include the Freedom of speech, press, and religion; the right to bear arms; freedom from search without a warrant; the right to an attorney; and many crucial others. WSFF stands firm with the Bill of Rights Day, especially towards the freedom of speech. WIthout these rights, whistleblowers cannot utilize their ability to voice their concerns and raise action against social injustices.
