Why are Feel Great products not approved by the FDA? Nutritional supplements in the United States do not undergo evaluation by the FDA. While Unicity products themselves are not assessed by the FDA, all manufacturers of the raw materials (ingredients) we partner with must comply with the FDA's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Due to the lack of FDA evaluation, most dietary supplement packaging includes a disclaimer stating, “This product has not been evaluated by the FDA. It is not intended to treat, diagnose, prevent, or cure any disease.” Despite this, many dietary supplements can still provide benefits for human health and support the proper functioning of various bodily systems. Where applicable, we pursue third-party certifications, such as NSF Certified for Sport, and register our products with the Prescribers’ Digital Reference (PDR). https://lnkd.in/gXZuMP62

Dietary Supplements industry toughest challenges: The lack of regulation and standardization is a major issue facing the dietary supplement industry. This poses several risks to consumers and can damage the industry's reputation. Here are some of the reasons why this is a controversial issue: 1. Product Quality and Efficacy: Without stringent regulations, the quality, safety, and efficacy of dietary supplements can vary widely. Some products may not contain the ingredients they claim to, or they may contain harmful substances. 2. Misleading Claims: Manufacturers of dietary supplements often make bold and unproven health claims about their products. This can mislead consumers who are looking for ways to improve their health. 3. Lack of Scientific Evidence: Many dietary supplements are marketed and sold without substantial scientific evidence to support their health benefits. This lack of transparency can lead to skepticism and mistrust among consumers. 4. Direct-to-Consumer Marketing: Critics argue that the industry's aggressive marketing tactics, especially towards vulnerable populations, take advantage of consumers who are desperate for a health solution. 5. Potential for Drug Interactions: Dietary supplements can interact with prescription medications, potentially causing harmful side effects. However, because supplements are often not regulated like drugs, many consumers are unaware of these risks. While some argue that stricter regulation could limit consumer choice and stifle innovation, others believe that it is necessary to protect consumers. These days more and more people are interested in taking dietary supplements for different reasons, and this means a great market for the manufacturers or brand owners of dietary supplements. However, according to FDA, there are important points we must consider before using these products. This post is aimed to review these points. 1. Ask yourself if a product sounds too good to be true: Be cautious if the claims for the product seem exaggerated or unrealistic and use phrases like “quick and effective” or “totally safe”. Be skeptical about information from personal “ testimonials” about the product’s benefits.Keep in mind that testimonials from unknown people are not the same as objective and evidence-based information. 2- Be aware of the possibility of tainted products: FDA has found weight loss products sold as dietary supplements that contain hidden prescription drugs or other illegal ingredients.
