As fall arrives and summer fades. I am excited for Community, Education and Coming together! This is where my focus is going for Fall. Fall has always been a time of "New Beginnings" or "New Adventures". I would love to have you join me in these new adventures. My goal going forward. My new Adventure, is Discovering, Celebrating and Engaging what makes each of us unique and showing people how to use that uniqueness to do good the way only you can do the way you do with the skills you have. You see, I believe that respecting and celebrating our differences doesn't make us LESS! instead they make us STRONGER together! It's the best way to demonstrate how we all have value. I am excited to share opportunities together to engage our Imaginations as we make the world better. What cause could you use your Unique Abilities to support? ( not sure? Leave me a comment. Let’s find out together). What needs do you see in the world that you want to solve? (not sure you can accomplish it alone? Let’s chat. I have a community for you). I hope you will join me on this Adventure! Watch this space! I will be sharing Downloads for you to get inspired and involved! I will also share a community that will support you in your adventure As well as offer programs for you to deepen your learning about ways to make an impact, if your not sure where you want to start. https://lnkd.in/g226Wbkk

"Inside dying systems, walk outs who walk on are those...who refuse to work from the dominant values that permeate the bureaucracy, such things as speed, greed, fear, and aggression. They…champion values and practices that respect people, that rely on people's inherent motivation and creativity and caring to get quality work done." "We offer our work…as gifts to society, to present and future generations. When we are motivated by this spirit, then work is not a burden; it is not a duty; it is not a responsibility. We are not even the doers of our work. Work flows through us and not from us. We do not own our intellect, our creativity, or our skills. We have received them as a gift and grace. We pass them on as a gift and grace." https://lnkd.in/gGchn3J9

Embracing the Freedom to Learn this Independence Day! Today, as we celebrate the independence that our nation fought so hard for, I find myself reflecting on the freedom that has shaped my own journey— the freedom to learn. As a Learning & Development professional, I've come to realize that true freedom lies in our ability to grow. It's the freedom to challenge old beliefs, to explore new perspectives, and to continuously evolve—both personally and professionally. For me, every day is an opportunity to learn something new, to push beyond the boundaries of what I know, and to help others do the same. This freedom has empowered me to take risks, try new things, and embrace change with an open mind. On this Independence Day, I’m grateful for the privilege to learn and to share that knowledge with others. I encourage everyone to use this freedom wisely—never stop learning, never stop growing, and always seek to empower others through education. Happy Independence Day to all! 🇮🇳 #IndependenceDay #FreedomToLearn #PersonalGrowth #LearningAndDevelopment #Gratitude

Another area of growth for Communitas in the 90s was the establishment of several social enterprises, which gave people living with disabilities a way to train for and find meaningful employment, while also providing a service to the community. Find out more about the social enterprises we offer today and how this work makes an impact on the lives of people we serve and our community. https://loom.ly/lDdoHwU

🚨 This week it was #SocialMobilityDay. 🌅 Social Mobility Day and The Social Mobility Foundation, where I am a board trustee, promote awareness for young adults to access career opportunities that they might not have been, or felt eligible for. 📚Whilst neither of my parents went to university, I was lucky that they were able to put me in a fantastic environment to access higher education, giving me a strong start in my career. 🏡 The Foundation led by the brilliant Sarah Atkinson, are working on a programme of change at 3 levels: 1. At the grass roots level, running a programme for young adults to get mentoring and coaching to be able to prepare for opportunities in higher education. 2. Working with businesses and providing an "Index" to rate their ability to support social mobility, not just finding talent from the same well trodden paths. 3. Lobbying government and driving change at a policy level, with Sarah herself often front and centre. 💡 If you knew nothing about any of the above, check out the website, and have a think about whether you're seeking talent from all available sources. 👌 You might be missing your next best hire!

There's so much pressure for young people to figure out their career. It shows up subtly with questions like "What do you want to study?" or "What kind of work do you want to do?". These are important questions, but they're asked too often and too early. The conversations led by Candy Ho (何甜茵) and colleagues will NOT be that and encourage you to share the information below with your teenager if you have one! #careerdevelopment #coaching #career #isabeauiqbal
