"How you grow, to a larger extent, determines certain places you would be able to access, certain people you would be able to meet and certain opportunities you would be able to harness." Here's a relatable example. Tobi Amusan (I'm hopeful I got the pronunciation correctly - "Mâ biñu" if I didn't 😟) I took cognizance of something about her. Now, she has been into sprinting, better put, she's been an athlete for a couple of years before coming to limelight at one of the global competitions She participated in three years ago. Something happened upon successfully completing a World Record (WR), and Personal Best (PB), of twelve seconds, twelve microseconds. You remember 12:12? Setting this New World Record opened her to top brand ambassadorship deals in Nigeria, one of such is that of Glo Telecommunications. This is the lesson, Global Visionaries: Glo Telecommunications didn't just see potentials, they saw someone who made a commitment to persist until growth happens. Simply put, they saw growth. This is what we are driving at - growth is a system of acceleration, if you are not growing, you cannot accelerate. How then do I get to grow, Noble? This is what The Growth Accelerator in person of, Leader Grace Adetimehin is set to demystify tonight. Join The Ongoing Conversation: https://lnkd.in/dpCpAzHw Trust we have a deal?

"I thought my biggest weakness was not fitting in." Growing up, I didn’t belong anywhere: - I wasn’t French enough for the French kids. - I wasn’t American enough for the American kids. - I wasn’t African enough for the African kids. For years, I thought this was my greatest weakness. But I was wrong. It became my greatest strength. - It taught me to adapt to any environment. - It gave me the ability to understand multiple perspectives. - It helped me thrive in international roles, leading diverse teams and driving global growth. What you think is holding you back might just be your superpower. Embrace it. You might even be able to make a difference in someone's life 😉 P.S: This is me with a bunch of amazing entrepreneurs at a venture fund in Lome, Togo 🇹🇬 sharing experiences and lessons working in top tech companies. Now, I can confidently walk into almost any room and feel like I can add real value. Don't ever second guess yourself. #LeadershipLessons #PersonalGrowth #DiversityInLeadership #Resilience #CareerJourney

🌟 Greatness is a choice. The only difference between genius and crazy is time. 🕰️ Honored to have heard these profound insights from Vusi Thembekwayo at the ZANACO Leads event. In the history of humanity, the GDP of the world never grew from the 1st to the 18th century. Yet, there has never been a greater time to be alive than now. 🌍 Embrace the opportunities of today! Scaling is not just about growth; it's a defense. 🚀 Here's a methodology tailored for startups, not small businesses: 1. Synthesis Operations 2. Identify Growth Drivers (Every business has three!) 3. Build for Insights (Manage for outcomes, not tasks) 4. Align Incentives Strategy is key. Define it, scrutinize your business model, and focus on: 1. Client Segments 2. Value Proposition 3. Distribution Channels 4. Customer Relationships 5. Revenue Streams 6. Client-Facing Processes 7. Cost Structure Remember, culture is crucial. Foster sharing, collaboration, and trust. As the saying goes, "Your power of one" can make a significant difference. And in Africa, where challenges are vast, we cannot afford to think small. 🌍 Think big, scale up, and create meaningful impact! #Scaling #Strategy #AfricaRising #BusinessGrowth

How @drofweneke summed his speech at the @entrepreneurshiphubafrica highlighting the above 3 areas as a point of reflection for young people. Mindset: Having a positive attitude and believing in your ability to learn and grow helps you overcome challenges and keep going, even when things get tough. Circle of Influence: Surrounding yourself with supportive and motivated people who share your goals and values can provide encouragement, guidance, and valuable connections. Investing in Your Dream: Putting time, effort, and resources into pursuing your goals and dreams, whether it's through education, skill development, or financial investment, increases your chances of success and fulfillment. In short, having the right mindset, being surrounded by supportive people, and investing in your dreams can help young people achieve success and reach their full potential. @b._nyambego @dennisitumbi @statafrica @burale1

Embracing a Growth Mindset in Nigeria Nigerians are known for their resilience, creativity, and vibrant culture. However, sometimes, limiting beliefs and fixed mindsets can hold us back from achieving our full potential. What's a fixed mindset? Imagine believing your intelligence and abilities are fixed and unchangeable. This can lead to phrases like "I'm not good at math" or "I'm not a natural leader." But the good news is ! We can develop a growth mindset, believing our abilities can be developed and improved through effort and learning. This shift in perspective can be life-changing. Here's how you can embrace a growth mindset, the Nigerian way: Challenge limiting beliefs: When you hear that inner voice saying "I can't," challenge it! Ask yourself, "Is this truly my limit, or am I afraid to try?" Celebrate effort, not just results: Instead of solely focusing on winning or perfect grades, acknowledge the effort you put in. Remember, even setbacks are opportunities to learn and grow. Learn from mistakes: Don't see mistakes as failures, but as stepping stones. Analyze what went wrong, learn from it, and come back stronger. Embrace challenges: View challenges as opportunities to stretch yourself and develop new skills. Don't shy away from difficult tasks - they can unlock hidden potential. Seek inspiration and support: Surround yourself with positive and growth-oriented individuals who believe in you and your potential. Share your goals and challenges with them, and learn from their experiences. Developing a growth mindset is a journey, not a destination. By embracing challenges, learning from mistakes, and celebrating effort, we, Nigerians, can unlock our true potential and achieve anything we set our minds to. Remember, it's never too late to grow and become the best version of yourself. Let's break free from limiting beliefs and build a future filled with possibility! #growthmindset #Nigeria #selfimprovement #potential

I’ve always been fascinated by Israel. It’s a country that, since 1948, has constantly found itself in the middle of conflict and war. Yet, despite the challenges, it’s one of the most technologically advanced and economically prosperous nations in the world today. I kept asking myself, “How does a country that’s been in a near-constant state of war manage to thrive so remarkably?” Then I realise it’s their “MINDSET.” You see, the mindset that Israel has adopted, despite its circumstances, is what sets it apart. The country has refused to let external threats, wars, and conflicts define its trajectory. Instead, they’ve channelled their energy into development, into growth, and into innovation. This is a deliberate choice that we all need to make—whether in life or in business. Israel chose not to wallow in their challenges but turn every difficulty into a stepping stone for growth. Their mindset is built on resilience, innovation, and a fierce determination. In business, just like in war, there will always be threats. Competitors, market shifts, economic downturns—these are the battles we face. But the lesson from Israel is clear: don’t wait for the perfect time because there is no such thing. Instead, build, grow, and innovate even when the odds seem stacked against you. That’s the mindset that drives success. Rather than slowing down when things get tough, speed up. And rather than waiting for the perfect moment to act, we’d take action right now, knowing that growth comes from the doing, not the waiting. We must build our businesses in the middle of our challenges, innovate even when the market is uncertain, grow even when resources are tight, and, above all, choose a mindset that says, No matter what, I will thrive. Let’s stop being defined by our challenges. Instead, let’s build, grow, and thrive, knowing that the greatest growth happens not in the absence of difficulty but right in the middle of it. #growth #growthmindset #businessowner #business #life #thriveinhardtimes #tundeebidero
